After the wonderful day where I was “crowned” Mrs Lim, my friends have been posting the ROM pictures they took in Facebook. So many! On top of that, there were gazillions wishes coming from everyone. People who seldom (or never) comment on my FB materials, this time purposely did so to send their wishes. I’m very overwhelmed and touched. Thank you all!
As I’ve always said, love is the one of the best gifts you can ever get (second is other people’s time). I only love those who love me. Because loving someone who doesn’t is just a waste of precious time. Thank you, everyone again.
Being Mrs Lim now feels great. Him and I have been trying to call each other’s parents as our own parents. Hard to change the name calling and we have been teasing each other about it. Funny.
My aunt told me that I should also plan my marriage while I plan my wedding. After all, wedding is only one day and marriage is forever. It made a lot of sense. To me, I think that trust is the most important thing about a relationship. If one party cannot trust the other, always doubting, then he/she will find that they are constantly unhappy. It takes days/years to prove yourself as trustworthy but only one day to break it. To start a relationship with a person already breaking the trust in the beginning probably is a no-fail sign of disastrous relationship. This is the reason why I always tell my friends not to become a third party. Because eventually if you were to narrow it down to two parties again, you’ll find that you cannot trust your partner. It is not worth the time to invest in a 90% doom to fail relationship
Second thing that is most important is understanding. A good relationship is when both parties can make efforts to try to understand each other’s behaviors and values. Different people act differently when in the same situation. If you are understanding, you can look at the bigger picture and understand why your partner does what he/she does instead of punishing him/her for not meeting your expectations.
Third important things will be a tie between communication and teamwork. A lasting relationship will be one where both parties can communicate properly, nicely and consistently. Challenges come and go in our lives. Your partner and you should act as a team to overcome them.

I’ve been so busy lately. My friend called me “busy woman”.
There was a terrible news last week which caused a huge disappointment. I was so disappointed. So so so disappointed. Everything I have planned for this year seems to need to change. I have to re-plan. Well, life is about readjusting, isn’t it?

Thank you, Universe! I was having some headache arranging for my ROM luncheon’s venue. There’s just not many restaurants in Putrajaya. Geez. Then, last night, I stumbled upon this great blog and I have everything figured out. Happy! Somehow I feel that Universe has something to do with this.
Had a great dinner last night with a couple of friends. It was my first Lou Hei dinner for the upcoming Chinese New Year. We chatted for 3 hours, which I thought was pretty long. Haha. The theme word for the dinner was “Game Over”, which refers to be getting married and no longer out there playing the singles game. Oh yah…same for him too.
I’ve gotten all the things I needed yesterday in Mid Valley too. I’m all set for my ROM. Woo hoo!

In one of the episodes of How I Met Your Mother, they revealed how panicky and anxious Lily got when minor things went wrong in her wedding planning. She basically cried all the time. Well, I experienced somewhat similar type of emotion today.
I went to a few florists in Subang and all of them told me they won’t be open on my ROM date because it’s still early Chinese New Year. I was panicking and even begged one florist to help me. I felt really down just now. I was thinking of getting some roses from the market and do some simple arrangement myself and forget about the luxury of having exotic flowers. Then, I got even more upset when it hit me… if the florists are not opened, highly probably that the market is not open too.
I went to my shop after that to start my shift. Business was exceptional good around 5-8pm today. My staff were getting out of hand so I helped out on the floor. After the crowd eased, I went to check my email. There it was…the email that made me teared with relief. The folks from www.pureseed.com.my replied my last night’s email telling me that they can do my bridal bouquet on my ROM date. I jumped for joy. I really love their work. It’s 5 times better than those done by the florists I visited earlier.
Now, I can have my dream bouquet.
Thank you, Universe! I haven’t been thanking you enough. Just need to shop for a pair of strappy heels, cuff links and tie. We’re all set for ROM!

My search for a good wedding decorator continues… This is probably one of the toughest thing about wedding planning. All the other florists I went to earlier were good but somehow they didn’t really understand what I want. This decorator i met came to my shop and sat down with me for hours. In the past, I have a hard time explaining what I want to other florists. When it comes to this vendor, she already have many previous work that is similar to what I want. I didn’t need to tell her that much. She knows what I want. Secondly, she seems to be able to come up with better ideas to enhance all these. Lets not get too excited for now. Will wait for her proposal to reconfirm my impression on her. The last decorator really disappointed me.
By the way, I fell in love with one of her bridal bouquets. She said she uses white cymbidium orchid mixed with white roses. Oh my… love it! Think I want that for my ROM, which is next month. It’s a bit expensive, though. Hmmm….
These are two bridal bouquet pictures that I found online, similar to the one she showed me. Ain’t they lovely? <3 <3 !!!

For the last few weeks, I’ve had this really itchy thing developing on my skin every now and then. It’s not rashes. I’ve had it check by a skin doctor but he said it’s nothing. Just dry skin and possibly hives. when I asked him what are the causes of hives? He said can be anything. It’s a type of allergy. It could be a caused by psychology, allergy to food or anything under the sun.
Sitting here in my shop, researching on wedding invites and some other things, my hands and legs started to itch again. All these tiny bumps raised again. I think I’ve solved the mystery. Oh my God! My hives problem is probably due to stress from planning my wedding. Itch itch.
Anyway,

I have a confession to make. I’ve been very vain going around bridal houses to window shop. This is the reason why I haven’t been online much. Haha.
Yesterday, I visited My Dream Wedding Bridal House and I got hooked on their European style gowns. I tried one gown and loved it so much. XCool couldn’t take his eyes off me. The person who serviced me was so friendly and I ended up spending a lot of time understanding their packages. I didn’t even bothered to ask further details when it comes to other bridal houses’ packages and there I was asking every single detail in this bridal house. My sister actually advised me to visit them for the longest time. She’s right. Their dresses are lovely. What’s just as good were their photo albums.
Initially, I wasn’t planning to take pre-wedding photos because I can’t seem to find a good reason for that. If you think about it…what’s the point in pre-wedding photos? I know many who has suffered just to go through these photo shooting session. Wouldn’t actual day photos be good enough? But this bridal shop representative was so friendly and he told me they were going to do some promotion for New Year and i’ll get to enjoy it pre-New Year. When I compared the package prices of gown rentals with and without pre-wedding photos, it’s just a few hundred difference in price. So i thought, why not? While chatting, I realised he wasn’t just any representative but also their photographer! Oh, what fun it will be to do photo shooting by him. He’s a very cheerful person with a lot of taste. All the gowns he made me try were gorgeous and flattering.
Today, I brought my sister along to get her opinion. The representative took out more gowns for me to try. Those that he thought I would like. He’s got good taste! In fact, I already fell in love with two gowns. Tried on one gown that I ‘thought’ I’d like but turned out I hated it. Will listen to his advices from now onwards. He knows best! I continued to negotiate the package with him. He threw in a lot more things into my package but told me to spread the words about them. So this is me telling the world about them. Haha. Lets hope they follow through their words. After spending an hour plus in the shop, we finally paid the deposit. Yippie!

Ho ho ho! Bridal House/Photography/Gowns-checked. Next in the list are Decorator, Wine Supplier and Invitation Cards.

Two days ago, I had a minor hiccup for my shop. It was Raya holiday and my santan supplier told us at the very last minute that he cannot supply santan for a few good days. (I’ve sacked him for unreliability). I had to source for santan last minute and went to this shop in Klang. While waiting for the uncle to prepare my santan, I walked to the next door shop selling chinese praying props. Guess what was displayed on the counter? The chinese almanac!!!
Yes!! The chinese almanac for 2011 is out! Yay! I quickly bought one copy and called my feng shui consultant to meet up. Universe has a way to make things happen and I think this was meant to be. Since my feng shui consultant wasn’t able to find the book herself, she said i’m the first person she’ll be picking 2011 dates for. Took her a long time to pick a nice date for us. The date she picked was an ideal date for wedding because it has a lot of good stars. She showed us all the chinese-worded explanations in the almanac and I agreed with her. It’s going to be awe …….. (wait for it) ….. some!!!
So …. friends, the date is set! More information later
The feng shui consultant also told us that there’s this new hotel offering good rates if we sign up with them early. XCool and I went to check out the place yesterday and felt very excited. The extra money we saved could be used for other things to make the wedding more awesome. Or, we could spend more for our house. Happy! We’ve been scouting for venues even before the date was set and I was feeling a little upset because our budget allows a restaurant if I want my type of deco (or a hotel but with standard deco). But now, I can have it all – hotel venue and awesome deco! Thank you, Universe!
Another wedding gift/blessing from Universe (first being the house at good price). I’m grateful for that. Please continue to guide me into finding all the things I want for my wedding, house and career. I feel alive and strong. Thank you again, Universe!!!
Plenty of time to plan my wedding. For now, I will focus on my career and looking forward to close a few big sales deal this month starting from this Friday. Thank you, Universe!!!

Finally, after two rounds of resizing, my ring is finally here. Ho ho ho. Happy! ^^
Here’s a picture of front profile.

Both rings are engraved with our initials. Mine with his name and his with my name.
