My Dream Wedding Photos

Published by under Wedding

I was planning to pick a few pre-wedding photos I like the most to show some of you, especially those who have contacted me about My Dream Wedding house. I got really lazy because I like all of them!

Anyway, because I am quite busy with my Internet Marketing work lately (will blog about that next time), I’m going to just give you the link to the album in my Facebook :)

Wedding Gift

Published by under Love,Wedding

I just received the most expensive wedding gift yesterday (in terms of monetary). In fact, it is the second most expensive gift I’ve ever received. First one was my education sponsored by my dad. Second one is also from my dad. My wedding gift. It’s overwhelming. While I have some feelings of regret and guilty, I am trying to remind myself that letting other people buy you something is also a gift by itself. They will feel happy and we shouldn’t rid them of such happiness.

Nevertheless, I love it! I feel a little bit of pressure carrying it around. People who know me know that I am not one of those who are crazy about branded things. Most people (those who can’t afford it but still want to cut their legs for it) need branded stuff only as a tool to make themselves feel significant. I don’t need all those. I’m define by who I know I am inside. That’s all that matters. I really don’t need anyone else to give me approval in that area. Hence, this gift is something extraordinary and I’m just not used to it. lol. However, I know it will be my lucky charm and will accompany me for all important events for the rest of my life.

Thanks, dad! I love you.

P/s: My resolution now is to make as much money as possible from Internet Marketing and buy something really extravagant back for dad and my parents in law!

Happy

Published by under Wedding

I’m happy that my staff are getting very smart. They ate handling the shop well. Getting many compliments from customers and increased sales are super good signs!

I’m happy that my wedding planning is very smooth. Am done with RSVP. Now, I just need to do the seating chart and some other mini art projects. Met up with my decor today. Think she will do an awesome job. My house is looking very nice now thanks to my sister’s good job in decorating. The in-laws are all set. Wedding planning is fun, really. I’m so glad I chose to do it all by myself instead of hiring a planner.

I’m happy to receive a good news two days ago. Woo hoo! More on that later.

I’m happy my hubby is the greatest in the world. He is doing such good job in the wedding slides. Smart hubby!

I’m happy that everyone is so happy. Wonders that a wedding brings. All the good vibes and luck. Love my family, my friends and my staff.

Thanks, Girls!

My girlfriends planned a hen’s night for me. Lol. We had a really fun and funny time. I am not going to give you a full coverage on that day. Some things should be left private. Right? Hahaha. Thank you, girls. I appreciate it!

This is me showing the girls how pre-wedding photos poses should be done. Haha

Sneak Preview

Published by under Wedding

We finally received our photo soft copy after rushing them. My Dream Wedding Bridal House was taking their own sweet time until my hubby called and voiced out our dissatisfaction. Will talk more about this later. Anyway, here it is. I’m very happy with my photos. The photographer was so good, it was so hard to choose the photos. I will only show you more after my wedding so that you won’t be bored when watching my slides later :)

Wedding Updates

Published by under Wedding

Finally, my cards are done. It has been very stressful arranging for cards distribution and RSVP. I am still on it. Met up with my emcee to discuss and plan the dinner event. I have been actively working with my family and family-in-law to plan the morning session as well. Sigh. So frustrating to do all these when all I really want to do is to continue with my new money project. What happened to my initial plan for a simple wedding? What is wrong with me? lol

Anyway, I’ve been shopping with my sister for shoes and finally found the perfect pair. I practically walked 4 big shopping malls for these and it’s tiring. I guess it’s worth it as I found two really gorgeous pair of shoes.

The high point of these few days was today. I had my first “ji mui” meeting today. After the meeting, we went to shop for dresses and found this cute dress excellent for bridesmaids. The material is good, workmanship is nice and price is good. I got each of them one and felt really happy. No more headaches for them to think about what to wear and where to shop. Very good for color coordination too. Now, I need to buy my hubby’s grooms men bow ties.

* breathe in * breathe out………..

Must be a hot season for weddings. Went to bridal shops are at SS2 and we saw many people decorating bridal cars yesterday. I just passed by a few shops and I already saw at least 5 cars!

Cards n Levine

Published by under Love,Wedding

I’ve been busy working and building foundation for a new thing I’m on. Apologize for not writing.

Hubby and I just got back from pre-viewing our wedding invitation cards before giving the shop a green light to print. It’s lovely!!! I’m so happy it turn out so right. I absolutely love it and it goes so well with my theme. Better than I expected considering the price is so affordable. I’ve chose the correct vendor. Maybe I will load a picture of it after my wedding. :) Gotta wait another two more weeks or so to get the cards printed and add some personal DIY touch. Yes.. people. When you receive my wedding card, do bear in mind that I put my sweat, heart and soul to complete the DIY part.

I love this song. I heart Adam Levine (and Maroon 5)!!!

Wedding Shoes

Published by under Wedding

After hours of choosing the perfect gown, with help from my dear sis and cousin sister, I finally have all that I wanted. Although I really like the evening gown I chose, my makeup artist commented that it’s too “plain” for a wedding. She said I should choose something more “fashionable”. I trust her because she has taste. Called up the bridal house and made another appointment to find something better. Argh. Why do I need to wear an evening gown on my wedding day?

Now that I have my wedding gowns, I’m shopping around for good shoes and jewelries. First stop, shoes. A person who knows me well will know that I’m a big sucker for anything shiny. I always go for shiny jewelries, shoes, watches, handphone casings, etc, etc. So people…. buy me shiny things, you can never go wrong with that. lol.

In an ideal world, these shoes would have been the perfect ones.

(sure looks a lot like a pair of glass shoes, doesn’t it?)

(this would really look good with my wedding gown)

Haha. I’ve been shopping around and there are a few potential nice pairs around. Maybe I should get a colored pair of shoes like the image below (taken from TheKnot.com). But then again, maybe not. Maybe I’ll get something silver-ish, cream-ish, or pinkish white. I just don’t like shoes that are completely white.

Wedding Project Update

Published by under Wedding

Looks like the only thing I feel like blogging lately is about my wedding. It’s not that I am spending a lot of time preparing, I just don’t want to blog about anything else. Haha.

My so-called DIY wedding project is not so much DIY anymore. I don’t know why but I feel so lucky as to have found suppliers that can give me the same thing I wanted to DIY within my budget. It’s unbelievable. I managed to find someone to do my personalized wedding favor even cheaper than my DIY budget for the same thing. Yippie! As mentioned before, I will reveal all vendors I’ve used for my wedding project.

Wedding favor – checked; Wine – checked; Grooms men attire – checked; next -> songs for wedding band to play, calling guests, invitation cards, bridesmaids dresses, in-law clothes, choose my wedding gown, home decos.

Why does it feel like there’s still a lot to do? Due to certain unfortunate death in family, my friend planned her wedding within a week’s time and she pulled it off ok. I told her there are pros and cons. The cons obviously is that her wedding ain’t that organized and she cannot choose good restaurants/hotels. The pros are that guests would understand, guests would pay more for ang pow and she saved a lot of money omitting many things like invitation cards, wedding favors, wedding deco etc etc.

I’ve put in quite some effort to find the things I really want. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, you see. Really hope everything turns out like I’ve planned.

Wedding Decorator – checked!

Published by under Wedding

After many many months of scouting for a good and reasonable wedding decorator, I finally found an excellent one! I went thru a few ones that seem quite good but ended up either really expensive or not competent enough. It’s quite challenging to find someone who would understand your taste and not just in it for the business. It appears that this lady I’m engaging is truly passionate about what she does. Her charges are so reasonable and she’s such a jolly person to work with. Happy! So so happy that I found her.

After our first meeting, she went back and did a lot of research on my theme. Today, she came up with so many wonderful ideas. Some ideas I’ve never even thought about it. I even found my wedding cake today. I’ve been looking for a fake dummy cake for so long and there it was sitting on her display shop. It’s a little old but I told her to spice it up and she’s totally cool with it. Getting a real cake is really expensive. I don’t think I’ll be serving the cake so it just doesn’t make sense to get one. But then again, most people focus on the cake because it’s the only outstanding item on the stage but it can’t be too ugly. I won’t be decorating my stage much so the cake is a very important decoration to have.

I have yet to reveal who she is but I will… I just want to confirm my booking before I share with everyone. Stay tuned.

Wedding decorator (by far, the hardest thing to scout for) – checked. Wedding cake – checked. Car deco, flower bouquet and corsages – checked. Wooooo hoooo! Next are wine supplier, wedding favors and invitation cards.
