Just so happy! 2011 will my year. 2011 will be THE year!
The thing about life is…. don’t take it too seriously. Sometimes when you meet a challenge, we tend to think of all the possible negative things that may happen. But the truth is, all these thoughts are inconducive. When you let it go and not think about the challenge, then *magical dusts sound* things somehow work itself out. I find that when I stop indulging in self pity (including writing an emotional blog hoping my readers will pity me >.<), I started to learn how to let things go. It is when I admit/own my past mistakes, acknowledge my weaknesses and learn how to change my perception, I became a happier person.
These are the wonders of life.

MoneyMagnetBabe and XCool wishes you Happy New Year!
May 2011 be as great a year for you as it would be for us.
May 2011 be the year you increase your level of goal achievements, health, wealth and most of all….
May 2011 brings you more love and happiness!
I love you….and you….. and yes …. you too! Hahahahahahaha

I’m writing this blog at 11:25pm, only 35 minutes before Christmas is over. MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE! Today was a rather busy day. I’ve an aunt who travelled 5 hours up to KL to celebrate with us. My sister and I took her out shopping and later met up with my other relatives for a very fulfilling dinner. There were 8 of us and we ate 6 really big crabs and a pot of steamboat. Very very full! I’ve been having some minor flu lately and my nose is all stuffed. Popped a flu medicine into my mouth just now and I’ll try to blog as much as I can before the drowsy effect kicks in.

Two days ago, Wednesday, I woke up early morning and went to the hospital to visit my friend, who was my ex colleague. She just gave birth to a healthy baby boy the day before. Such a cutie but so delicate that I didn’t want to hold him yet. He was only 2 days old and really tiny.
After that, I picked up 4th fookie (who is back from Korea for a short holiday). She accompanied me to visit some bridal clothing shops in Sri Hartamas. We’ve covered 3 shops and I’m pretty happy with what I’ve seen. I saw this white gown that is sooooo nice. It was really love at first sight. The workmanship and the style and everything was almost 80% close to what I have in mind.
Right before 5pm, we left the place and drove all the way to Pyramid. We were going to meet up with two other fookies for dinner. Meantime, we sat down and have a drink at some cafe. What seemed to be a short drink turned up to be one and a half hours of chat. We talked about everything and anything under the sun, mostly updates on our lives. It came to a point when we started going into deeper stuff. I told her what I felt/think about life and all these things that are going on right now. We helped each other to see the more positive sides of our challenges. i’ve always wanted to talk to someone about the findings I’ve had from reading some books and observations about our lives. I find that most people I’ve talked to aren’t really into all these spiritual things. Perhaps they are just not ready yet. As a friend of mine once said “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”. All these spiritual teachings/books seem to have made its way to me when I needed them the most. They have helped me in remaining strong during challenging time. 2010 had been a very challenging year. I have so many questions in my head and I really want answers!
After tea, we shopped for a while and the other two fookies joined us. It was dinner and desserts after that. We haven’t been seeing each other a lot lately and so many things to catch up. Oh yah, I forgot to mention, there were pressies too! Thank you, fookies! Love you all!

We brought forward our ROM dates because of Anthony Robbin seminar. We figured it will be too much of a rush. Went to JPN to book our ROM dates yesterday and we’ve got it! Now, I need to shop for my ROM dress. Goodness! Nervous!

Three days to Christmas and I’ve already received a few Christmas pressies. Happy happy! Yesterday, I’ve received two from my friends.
Today, I received another two from my darling.
He wanted to get me something much more expensive but I thought I wanted something simpler. I needed a wallet. The Liz Claiborne wallet I had (which I bought with CheeryDiva) served me for one and half years and it’s starting to fall apart. It is so hideous I feel embarrassed to take it out most of the time. I read somewhere that feng shui says we should always have nice and spacious wallet. This is to symbolize good money coming in and your wallet should have money at all times. Color plays an important role too. If you have been following me, my favorite and lucky color (according to feng shui master) is fire element related. Immediately, I made up my mind to find only red colored wallets. After spending half a day in The Gardens, I finally decided to get this wallet and it’s really beautiful. It comes with a precious stone too!

Pretty huh. Let the money come.
If you think this gift is perfect already, well … read on. The reason why we chose to shop in Midvalley was because we wanted to attend Anthony Robbins Graduate Gathering. I was invited by their sales reps during a T Harv Eker follow up call. If you have been following me, you’ll know how much I like Tony’s teachings. I’ve been reading his books over and over again. Last year, I was given a chance to go when it was held in Singapore. But because it was one month after my business launch, I decided not to go and regretted soooo much. Anyway, we went to this gathering and heard all the past graduates talked passionately about how Tony has changed their life. It was so sincere that you can see one or two of them tearing. Of all the preview seminars I’ve been to, I’ve never seen any people talk about their experience so emotionally. Not only have I heard it today, I’ve actually been hearing it from my own friends all along. At the end of the gathering, they revealed the special price for the upcoming Unleash the Power Within to participants in this room (only for today). The price was really really good but then we’ll need to factor in the air tickets and accommodation because the event is in Sydney. To my delight, he turned to me and said “lets go for this”. I was shocked. I looked at him puzzled ” are you sure? we have a wedding, a new house to build and you wanted [confidential]. All this needs money. Are you sure we can afford this?”. He said “Forget about [confidential]. I want to change my life.” I said ” Me too!”. The rest is history.

OMG!!! I can’t believe it. Thank you, darling! I’m so happy. I can’t wait for March to come.
Best Christmas ever! Good night, folks.

Last few days, I’ve watched two movies about a heroic character. First was Bruce Lee My Brother. Last night’s was The Warrior’s Way.
The Bruce Lee movie depicted his untold story. It was entertaining. If it was true, the name actually came from the word ‘push’. His mum kept repeating the word ‘push’ after delivery and his dad thought she wanted to name him push. So, the American nurse/ doctor took it as the nearest name by sound – Bruce. Lol. It’s amazing how much Bruce went thru before he died at age of 32. Can you believe it? I’m nearing my 30s and no where near his achievement. Dang!
As for movie The Warrior’s Way, it was pretty funny and exaggerated. I would give it a 60% rating.
My mentor said feel the fear and do it anyways. Often, it is our mind who gave us fear. We must acknowledge it, thank it and still go for it.

For the last few days, I continued my wedding planning project. I researched for good music bands. XCool wanted a band who can sing some Chinese songs so this task became a little harder. I am all in for English songs. Most vocalists who can sing Chinese songs usually cannot pronounce well for English songs. Meanwhile, vocalists who are good in English songs learn Chinese words by heart when they sing Chinese songs. Hmm… Anyway, after searching hi and lo, I’ve found a band which is pretty excellent. I’ve seen them performed live so I know they are good. When I called the main band member, he quoted me a price which was much higher than what I’ve expected.
I want the band so badly I’m thinking of not hiring an emcee and have someone do it for me. Hmmm..
Any takers? Must be someone who can speak English and Mandarin. I’ll give you a big angpow ^^

I’m in Starbucks typing this blog. I love the lights here because it makes my diamonds shine like crazy. Mesmerizing.
A few happy things to note.
I bought an insurance policy lately and I’m happy for the service my insurance agent friend gave. Knowing a few insurance agents, I know there are some very unprofessional agents around. When it comes to insurance, I tend to ask a lot of questions on the proposed policy. Most of the time, the insurance agents cannot answer my questions. Worse, some tried their luck and gave me wrong answers. I’m very careful in this sense because insurance is an intangible product. If an insurance agent cannot give me the confidence in them, I won’t pay them. It’s as easy as that. Lately, I met up with an ex university/house mate of mine. He was extremely helpful, friendly and made me feel very secure. I just bought a policy from him.
Second happy note was that I met one of my ex school mates in my shop two nights ago. I sat down and chatted with him and his friend. We were discussing about our career. This friend of mine just got back from overseas to expand his mum’s florist business. One topic led to another and to my delight, his mum does wedding events decorations too. If that’s not great enough, he told me his mum is the contracted florist for the hotel I’m going to have my wedding! Wow! Thank you, Universe! You have very funny ways of getting me connected to the people I need. I was just blogging about event decorators few days ago!! The only drawback is that I had some unpleasant issues with this friend of mine back in my school days. I suppose everyone deserves a second chance. We were really young and super naive! I’m a different person now and I have to give this friend of mine the benefit of the doubt. Will be visiting his mum’s shop soon. By the way, I know his mum. She used me to be my teacher and a fierce one too. Gulp!
Ending this entry with a shot I took using iPhone 4 before I wrote this entry.

Other than being happily busy with my usual stuff, I’ve been digging for lots of wedding theme ideas. Yesterday, XCool and I took a one day trip to Ipoh to attend my ex colleague’s wedding. It was such a nice event. Simple but nice. I have to prioritize on the things I want. After running thru a few things with XCool, I believe he agrees with my views.
Next week, I’m going to start meeting up with decorators to book their time. I believe my date is a hot one based on Chinese calendar. My married friends advised me to book all the vendors as early as possible otherwise you’ll find yourself being stuck with the rejected ones. Ooooo…. I’ve done hotel. Photographer is done too. Now, the next most important one is decorator. But before meeting up with prospective vendors, I thought I should at least tell them what my theme is. So…. what should be my wedding theme?
Having loads of experience attending other people’s wedding, there’s basically a few types of wedding. Some people doesn’t give a rat ass about decorations. They give more important priorities to other thing. Some, on the other hand, decorate their wedding like crazy giving a lot of attention to details. I would say I’ll be somewhat in between. I want to make it a fun memorable event, not only for us but also for my guests. Usually, weddings with themes take the fun up a notch.
So, to come back to the big question, what theme should I go with? Should I go with a romantic theme? Should I go with Chinese theme? Should I choose one of the four seasons as my theme? I sort of have something in my mind. I’m just not sure how to spice it up.
Let’s hope the decorators will have some good suggestions. Sorry. I won’t reveal it yet cause giving it away will kill the suspense for my guests.

I haven’t been updating my blog for a few good days as I was too happy being busy. Two days ago, XCool released a new app called AppSwitch. It went up the ranking within a day. Now at top 100 for overall apps in US store and #6 in Utilities category. ^^ I’m so proud of him. It’s very creative of him to come up with this idea and he “made a dent in the Universe” (claimed by him). He’s now not only the best iPhone Developer in Malaysia, he’s even the best iPhone Developer in the world.
Congrats again, darling!

I had such a wonderful evening today. I just got home from a date night. XCool took me out for a short dinner and a movie of my choice. He finds it boring and felt asleep. Pity him…he’s been working non-stop lately albeit for a good cause. Couldn’t be prouder for this significant growth in his career.
I’ve been very busy too and it has been a long time since we’ve watched a movie. A few attempts we’ve made before didn’t happened because of last minute issues that popped up. So, I really appreciated him for suggesting a date night tonight and he didn’t play with his iPhone at all.
I think the movie is nice and meaningful. The director sure knows how to make scenes draggy though. I can relate very well to this movie but I won’t elaborate on how. I have a thing or two to learn from Elizabeth Gilbert, the author. Anyway, maybe I should read the book after I’m done with the current books.
Before I met XCool, I’ve always wanted to travel somewhere alone. I didn’t manage to make myself do it. The furthest I went was to check myself into a resort hotel very far from town and treat myself to a nice spa, good meal and lots of reading time by the park. Even so, it did wonders to me. I have so many things on my mind lately and I think I really need that vacation. I want to go somewhere alone for a few days and being the supportive person that he is, he gave me his blessings (I know I’m not the easiest girl to domesticate). Now, where should I go?

Went for a business meeting with XCool in the morning. After that, we went to The Curve to pick up something I’ve won from a small contest. We hung out in Starbucks for the remaining of the afternoon. He was doing his work so I took the opportunity to go…..shopping!!!
It has been a while since I had my retail therapy. I needed new shoes for the upcoming wedding season. i have so many weddings to attend in the next few months. I didn’t only buy one shoe but three shoes!!! Haha. Happy! Gotta love them shoes. I was very tempted to buy more. Everything look so good but I figured I’ll buy more when I make more sales. Now I have new shoes for every occasion. Wanted to get a new dress too but didn’t find anything suitable.
