Alkalizing: Day Six

Experienced a little crash of energy today. Felt kind of tired right now.

This morning, we woke up early and headed out for Kuranda. We took the Skyrail (7km+ cable car ride) up to Kuranda. It was beautiful. Wow! Although I felt a little fearful about sitting in a cable car, I must admit it was a pretty good ride. There was a 250m waterfall called Barron Fall halfway. In the morning, there was a rainbow near that huge waterfall. Amazing! When we reach Kuranda, we went shopping, eating and also enjoying the cool weather. Then, we went for a jungle walk. At 2pm, we took the Kuranda scenic train down back to Cairns. It was a pretty awesome ride too. The scenery is just great!

I think I have to do a strict alkaline diet. Am going to buy PH strips when I get back to Malaysia.

Alkalizing: Day Five

Woke up really fresh today even though I only slept for less than 7 hours. We have vege sandwiches for breakfast with loads of avocado. Needed the nourishing fat from avocado.

Today, we rented a car and drove up the Captain Cook Highway along the coast line up to Port Douglas. The view was superbly wonderful. Our road is on a mountain. When you look down, it’s all water, nothing but ocean water stretching from far right to left. The waves moves towards the shore and hits the rocks. Lovely! Midway, we stopped at Hartley’s Crocodile Farm and spent half day in the park. I never knew crocodiles can be such fun! There were shows where the park rangers actually stood very close to the crocodile and the crocodile went “Snap”! The sound they made were as though someone took two big wooden boards and banged them together. Very loud! We also went on a boat ride and a ranger fed the crocodile right in front of us (about two feet away). I touched a young 1 year old crocodile!!! Their skin felt like rubber and if you didn’t tell me it’s a crocodile, I would have thought it as a rubber toy. We saw some koalas too but they are such boring animals. All they ever do is just eat and sleep….very much like panda bears.

Today, we cheated a little. Couldn’t resist the chocolate and bought a bar of Lindt dark chocolate 85%. Alkalizing now with a big cup of lemon water. =.= I guess it’s easier to do the diet when you’re not on vacation. Haha.

Alkalizing: Day Four

Published by under Health,Life

My energy level is increasing. We are finding it challenging to find food that are safe to eat. Reading the labels in the grocery store like nobody’s business. :) But we’re hoping to do this for at least 2 months to see what Tony means. Even if after all these, I don’t think I ever want to eat industrial chicken and pork anymore. Yucks! Shits & pisses! For all of you who haven’t watch Food, Inc., please do so. You’ll never look at food the same way again.

We’ve booked a few tours today. Yay! Will be going to Kuranda, Hartley and a diving/snorkeling trip by Quiksilver’s SilverSwift. Excited!

Alkalizing: Day Three

Published by under Health,Life

Energy has been picking up. No more coffee cravings and headaches. Still have sugar cravings. No meat cravings. Also, started watching the show Food Inc. and felt very disgusted. Definitely no meat cravings!

We are in Cairns now. The weather is quite like Malaysia only colder because it was drizzling. Our sharehouse was a pretty interesting concept. Very comfortable and homely. Fast internet speed. We didn’t do much today except for the visit to the shopping centre. Tomorrow, we’ll visit more places.

Good night!

Alkalizing: Day Two

Published by under Health,Life

Woke up with a burst of energy and smiling. I had 9 hours of sleep, though. Definitely hope the sleeping part will improve, ie sleeping less.

After showering, doing vital breathing exercises and drinking lemon water, I felt a big hunger in my tummy. Think I really need to get the Omega 3 & 6 Essential Oil. Couldn’t managed to find it in Sydney yesterday but will try harder today.

No cravings for coffee and sugar at the moment. Feeling a lot more energetic today.

Yay!!! Celebrate! We’re going to Sydney’s fish market for brunch. :)

*************************************

Tiring tiring day. Finally, we packed up everything and left my cousin’s house to the airport. Next stop, Cairns. Our flight is at 6am but we thought of going at 11pm since we’re not familiar and we can wait in the airport. There’s just one problem…. THE AIRPORT CLOSES AFTER 12AM. WTF?!?!?!

Luckily, we have some kind souls telling us that we could go to the McCafe down the road. I was struggling to walk because my luggage is damn big and heavy. Suddenly a car pulled over and I thought it was a taxi. You see, in Sydney, the taxis and police cars look quite the same. When I look closer, it’s the police! They asked if we want a lift. Happy! This is the first time I sat in a police car. Hahaha. But I’m so happy. So many people helping me. So grateful!

McCafe has a lot of sweet cakes, brownies, muffins, marshmallows….anything sweet that you can name, you have it. Argh! Not very favorable to my current diet, especially I’ve been craving for it. Hubby and I have been quite good so far. We ate a vegetarian pizza (with no cheese) and a whole lot of salad, fruits and nuts.

Alkalizing: Day One

Published by under Health,Life

Tony Robbins gave us a 10 days challenge to increase our energy. There are a few simple lifestyle changes, mainly food, to make. He said if we were to do so and feel the energy, we will never want to go back.

So today is my first day alkalizing. Needless to wonder, I must have a very acidic blood inside due to my poor diet before this. One of the hardest things are to cut coffee and sugar. since I’ve been relying on coffee and also indulging in a lot of sweet stuff, my day wasn’t a very good one. Headaches and low energy. In addition, it is that time of the month for me so my hormones made me even weaker. After naps and naps, hubby and I finally forced ourselves to hangout in Bondi Beach.

In Bondi Beach, I jogged and did the recommended vital breathing. Instantly, I felt better. There’s something about the ocean. It always calms me. On our way home, we dropped by a store and bought some herbal and fruit teas to replace coffee.

I quite like the weather in Sydney. We purposely went the longer way and took the ferry back to my cousin’s house. The wind was awesome. The view of Sydney and its harbour is just breathtaking.

The guy who will change hubby and my life. :)

I’m a Firewalker

Published by under Life

Wow! Awesome 4 days spent in Unleash The Power Within with Tony Robbins and his team. Mind-blowing!

I am just so full of energy now I feel like I can take on the world (and I know it in my heart that I can). I’ve attended so many seminars but none of the mentors are as sincere as him. He’s truly a man of giving with a big heart. Very funny too. I respect him to the fullest and he is a blessing to me. Here’s why.

When I started this blog (the previous blogspot which I accidentally deleted the entries), I was in a place where I had some inspirations from another mentor and I wanted change so badly in my life. So badly. Few days later, I accompanied my dad to a shopping mall and there was a MPH book sale in the concourse. While waiting for my dad, I strolled down the trays of books and BAM! Tony’s book “Unlimited Power” was calling for me. I’m not exaggerating this. It was literally beaming from the corner of my eyes because the spotlights were coincidentally shining on it. I picked it up, found it interesting, it was RM9 and bought it without thinking further.

The book was a little confusing but I found the lessons very refreshing. So many self-help authors wrote about life and behavior but nobody quite explained them like he does. Weeks later, I bought “Awaken The Giant Within”, which was easier to digest. Although reading his books helped in many ways, but I still didn’t quite got it into my system.

As I’ve mentioned in my earlier post, hubby bought tickets and trips to Tony’s seminar for my Christmas pressie. I was excited max!

In UPW this weekend, Tony and his team took us thru a lot of intense NLP sessions and life mastery stuff. On the first day itself, we walked on fire. I’ve experienced some very very intense emotions. So intense in a few of them that I broke down many times. I didn’t hold back anything and just let myself go. Tears flowing, bawling, body tightened, head pounding and screaming my lungs out. It’s uncontrollable.

At the end of yesterday’s session, all the questions I’ve had for a year plus have been answered. I’ve blogged about it all the time. What is my life purpose? Why are we here? What do I have so many things and still miserable? How to be free from a nagging pain?

I’ve got all my answers!!! Yayyyyy!!! And…. I’ve broken free from my misery. I feel a few tonnes of weight lifted from my shoulder. Now, I am excited to live my life!
I feel very blessed and utmost gratuity to my hubby for this wonderful opportunity.

We’re thinking of taking it up to the next level to attend Tony’s “Date with Destiny” seminars. Lets see how it goes :)

Life will never be the same. Life is changing… The truth will set me free.

Sun, Fun and Robbins!

Published by under Just For Fun,Life

In two more days, I’ll be off to meet my idol, get some life-changing inspirations from him, have fun in my pre-wedding honeymoon and relax. A little nervous about walking on fire, though. The past few weeks have been so hectic that this is something I look forward to. Thank you, hubby, for making this trip happen.

On top of that, I received some good news last few days. Really happy. Today, another very good news. Happy.

I’ll blog if I have free time in Australia. ;) As for now, tudeluuuu….

All you need is love

I love the movie “Imagine That” a lot, especially the heart-warming ending.

Love, love, love)
(Love, love, love)

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy

There’s nothing you can make that can’t me made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy

All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need

Nothing you can see that isn’t shown
There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be
It’s easy

All you need is love, all together now
All you need is love, everybody

Met up two of my besties last night in a temple. One of them told me that she’s got a job offer in another country and thinking of taking it up. There goes another best friend of mine who will be far away from reach. While we’re still close at heart, it sometimes feel so different not having them nearby. I just love all my besties so much. :) They have stood by me so much in the last few years. Life would have been so different without them!

UniFi

Published by under Business

I requested for Telekom Malaysia to install UniFi in my shop and house. Because of my upcoming pre-wedding honeymoon trip, I rushed them to have it installed earlier. My shop’s UniFi was installed last Friday. Apparently, the installation package came with 15m fibre optic cable only. I had to pay for another 20m. In addition to that, they recommended that I use casing to protect the fibre option cable claiming that too much sunlight exposure can spoil the cables easily. The casing comes with additional charges. After the full installation, we had to fork out another RM450. I guess that is fair.

For three days, I had no problems with the connection. Everything was so fast. Speed was awesome. During my university days in US, I had T3 connection when staying in the dormitory. After returning to Malaysia and using Streamyx for many years now, I forgot how a broadband speed is supposed to be.

My enjoyment was short-lived. Yesterday night, I started experiencing all sorts of problems with the DLink router TM gave me. Out of 10 computers connected to the router, only a few had internet connection. The rest were sort of blocked by the router to proceed with DNS request. Feeling so frustration and after explaining to so many customers, I didn’t know what to do. Hubby came and helped me. We came across this manual written by a UniFi user http://unifi.athena.my and finally realized a few things.

1) TM configured the router to have two types of login. One as “admin” and another as “operator”. They only revealed the “admin” one to me. The “operator” login was a higher level and has more access to router settings. Worst, they set default passwords for this login. Geez! Why would they do that? It’s so dangerous especially for shop owners like me. What if my customers knew about this and login as “operator” and hack my system or changed the settings? Where is the security in this?

2) The DLink router TM gave sucks. It seems that a lot of people are complaining about this router. So, hubby followed the instructions from http://unifi.athena.my to turn the DLink router into a bridge and use my previous expensive router. It worked!

I feel so blessed to have him. He’s like my hero. :)

Another problem with UniFi was the free phone line that came with it. From day one, the phone couldn’t be used. There were tones but calls cannot be made out or received. I called them at least 7 times today. At least 3-4 calls were dropped halfway in the conversation. Two of the representatives were rude. I was so frustrated.

After all these UniFi ordeals, I’m glad that everything is up and running properly. I have nothing to blog about these days so I thought I’d blog about this so that people can take precautions. Haha.
