Finding Wonderland

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Business, Just For Fun, Life

“A very merry unbirthday to you…to you”. This tune is ringing in my head. It was from the cartoon Alice in Wonderland by Disney, which I loved to watch when I was young. Last evening, XCool and I caught the new released Alice in Wonderland (in 3D) at TheCurve. It was a fun movie to watch. Bravo, Disney! One thing though, I thought the White Queen looks scary with the black makeup. Tsk tsk. So, where is my Wonderland? I imagine it to be quite different. Hmm…..

Look what I’ve “ninja”-ed from XCool. His iPod Touch. ;)

On Monday night, I went out for dinner with a dear fookie friend. I told her how much free time I have now and that I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t pick up another full time business/work because I still need to spend some time on my shop once in a while. She told me, ” well, get out there and start networking again.” That’s when I realised…oh no! I haven’t been networking!

She’s right. I should. I have been so focused on my business and love life, I’ve stopped networking. Shame on me. Okay. It’s time to get back out there.

Universe, please bring more positive people into my life. Thank you, Universe!

Meanwhile, I found a hobby which I would like to try my hands on. I’ve been reading and watching out for it. ^^

Mac mini

This was such an eventful and tiring day. My hands are itching to blog.

My day started with a coffee and two fishballs. Kept my stomach empty for an important and big CNY meal at our beloved 5F’s house! :D

She cooked some yummilicious food and the rest of fookies brought some food too. I brought Yee Sang. We ate and laughed. Then, we watched her wedding videos and laughed. Very quickly, 3 hours passed. We didn’t call it a day yet. Instead, we packed some ridiculous funny food (and laughed) to move on to 4F’s house. We went to 4F’s house and continued to laugh. Get the idea? We laughed a lot!

Soon after, XCool and I went back to Subang to have dinner with my family. My baby brother is leaving for UK tomorrow after being here for a good 3 months holiday.

After the dinner, it’s time to shop for a … Mac mini. You see, XCool needed another backup computer now that he is working on his business full time. What’s better than a Mac? Err… well, basically, nothing. :D We went to Machines store at the nearest shopping mall, Sunway Pyramid, but they ran out of stock! Grrr. After a few calls to ensure availability, we zoomed to Mid Valley’s Machine store. That wasn’t the end of it. They didn’t have the type of cable XCool needed. Grrr. The salesperson made a few calls and told us the cable is available at … Sunway Pyramid! (=.=)’ With my fast great driving skills, we managed to rushed back to Sunway Pyramid in time.

The Mac mini was opened in my house. XCool took pictures of it while unboxing it. (Something he likes to do but I cannot comprehend). The Mac mini is so small, it’s like the size of my home router. It’s just two times thicker. Very cool!

———

I am slacking a little these days. I still remember my goals. In fact, I’ve had a few ideas in my head right now. One of them, I’ll need XCool’s help, which he has already agreed. Yay! Another one needs more research. Will do it after I’m done with payroll next week. Excited.

Universe, please get me connected with more money-making opportunities. Thank you, Universe!

Flowers & Me

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun

It’s the holiday season and that means lots of love spreading around everywhere. This Valentine’s Day, I wasn’t able to spend it with my new love because it coincided with Chinese New Year. Anyway, that didn’t stop us from celebrating love.

XCool likes to send me flowers. This is a shot few months back.

Really like the bouquet design.

Today, he sent another bouquet to make up for not being able to celebrate Valentine’s Day (and also to celebrate his last day in rat race). It was supposed to be a surprise which turned out to be a disaster. I went out early in the morning when the flower arrived at my doorstep. They tried to contact me but my phone was out of network for hours. Quite a bit of drama. Phiew!

Feeling bored at home after he left, I decided to camwhore (using Phone Booth application on my Mac).

Girls love romance. Deal with it, ok? :P

Eat Eat Eat!

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun

That’s what Chinese New Year is all about. 15 days of feasting. Chinese has a saying “it is a fortune to be able to eat”. It’s only the third day of Chinese New Year and I’ve stuffed many food into my mouth. Look at the spread for steamboat dinner of 9 pax at my house two nights ago…

Tsk tsk.

Thank goodness I am half vegetarian. That helped me to control my diet to a certain extent.

My shop’s business is doing extremely well since reopening after one day’s rest. I’m doing a stress test for my staff to see if they can handle everything by themselves. So far so good. My sister and I haven’t been going to our shop for four days.

Tiger Year is here!

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun

Roar…. roar!

I just got back from my family reunion dinner not long ago. This year’s Chinese New Year celebration is very different. This is the first time I’m celebrating the festival in Kuala Lumpur. My relatives from Johor and Singapore will be coming up north to join us. Tonight, my reunion dinner was with relatives from my mum’s side. Caught up with my aunties, uncles, cousins and nephews. I’m so full now…. Being a half-vegetarian sure helped me in watching my diet. Tee hee hee….hiccup!

So, what are the differences between CNY in Johor and KL?

1. They sky in Johor will be filed with colorful fireworks for hours pass midnight. They will be a few families lighting firecrackers (against country’s law prohibiting them to do so). In KL, it’s so quiet.

2. Less food in KL. In Johor, we’ll be munching all the way. (my siblings agreed with me on this). Such a bunch of gluttons…tsk tsk

3. Less CNY TV programs in KL. If we’re in Johor, we’ll be tuning in to Singapore’s Channel 8.

In conclusion, CNY in Johor is much better than in KL. There’s just more excitement. CNY without firecrackers made one feel like a big part of the festival is missing. :)

Regardless, I have a feeling this year will be just as awesome as the previous ones. My shop’s sales was VERY good today. It was unexpected. This is a good sign. Ho ho ho! Opps… wrong sound effect. It should be …. Huattt ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

CNY Clothes

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun, Tze Ping

Such a hectic day. Went to LHDN (Malaysia’s Inland Revenue Board) to settle some tax issues. It was as though the place was having a family day. The whole place was packed with people. Then I realised today is the 10th of Feb and these people are rushing to make tax payments.

After that, I went to pick up my half-handicapped bf and hurried to MidValley. We spent whole afternoon doing our last-minute CNY clothes shopping. Took a break and caught Black Ransom in the cinema. The show has nothing to shout about. I fell asleep for fifteen minutes. We continued with clothes shopping and dinner.

Finally, I’ve got all my new clothes!!! Just need to get a pair of new shoes or two.

Thank you, dear, for the shopping spree! :D

Dum Dum Di Dum

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun

These days I am resting. After Chinese New Year, I will start working hard smart again. So, I will write less money related topics.

Today’s topic is about cheaters. I had a long chat with a friend the other day who was still hung up on her failed relationship. She loved the man so much but he ended up cheating on her big time. Until now, she is still holding on grudges and didn’t like the feeling of being discounted. Having experiencing this myself, I can’t help but to wonder about a lot of things.

For me, it is acceptable if my partner falls in love with another and tells me honestly. I would let him go and deal with myself. I mean, nobody is indispensable. There is nobody I can’t live without. Think about it. We’ve survived so many years without a partner. We can survive again. Yes, there will be heartaches but this is for the better. I believe I am smart enough to learn how to survive. Do you think life will be great if you’re constantly forcing someone to love you?

But what really pisses me off is when a person falls out of love and lies about it. (This applies to both man and woman) Why do they have to cough out some excuses to conceal the actual reason? It really makes one appear shallow. Then again, to see a person stooping to that level sure helps the getting over process to escalate. At the end of the day, all is no lost.

If a person cheated before, will he/she cheat again? I’ve seen many cases whereby the answer is yes. I guess people do change and we may want to hope that they have. I prefer not to take chances. After all, it is my lifetime happiness we’re talking about. A person who cheated before is a turnoff to me and I probably would never be able to trust the person completely. This applies to my friends too. If a friend of mine is a cheater, I will be more reserved when I deal with him/her.

Anyway, my eyes are getting smaller now. So tired. Not going to bother with grammar/spell checking this post. Let me tell you what is as tough as being a sick patient….taking care of a sick patient. :P

Good night now…. zzz.zz….zzzz

Idealist Healer

Published by moneymagnetbabe under Just For Fun

After reading my friend Heng’s blog on the Jung Typology Test, I decided to take the test. I am an INFP (Idealist Healer). Based on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healer_(role_variant), below are the traits of an Idealist Healer. Wow. So true!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Overview
Healers are introspective, cooperative, informative, and attentive. Their tranquil and reserved exterior masks a passionate inner life. Healers care deeply about causes that interest them, and they often pursue those causes with selfless devotion. They are highly compassionate and empathetic to the needs of others, seeking to bring peace, health, and integrity to their companions and to society at large. They want to heal the problems that trouble individuals and correct the conflicts that divide social groups.
Healers tend to be private individuals who have a strong sense of right and wrong and an idealistic worldview. They are deeply committed to things that are positive or good and may be inspired to make extraordinary sacrifices in attempts to achieve their ideals. They are prone to errors of fact as they follow their feelings more than they follow logical analysis. However, following their feelings also means that Healers seldom make errors of feeling.
Healers are often misunderstood as children. In practical minded families, their devotion to idealism may be frowned upon and may even be punished. Most other role variants can shrug off the parental expectations that don’t fit them, but healers are greatly affected by it. They want to please their parents and their siblings and, in attempt to do this, they may mask or hide their differences. This can create inner turmoil within the Healer. Healers are often better at detecting this inner turmoil than other role variants. Healers seek unity of mind, body and spirit, perhaps because of the inner turmoil caused during their upbringing.
Healers are adaptable, patient with complicated situations, and welcoming of new ideas and information. They are impatient with routine details. As they are aware of people’s feelings, Healers relate well with others. They are also comfortable working alone given their private nature. Healers have an interest in scholarly activities and often have exceptional language skills.
Occurring in only about one percent of the population , Healers can easily feel isolated. They value harmony and integrity in human relationships, but often find these values to be out of step with the more concrete pursuits of the rest of the world. Feeling “different,” they may wonder whether something is wrong with them. But those differences—an ethical nature, a devotion to ideals, a commitment to harmonious interaction—are in fact some of their greatest strengths.
Love and relationships
One of the rarest of the types, Healers can be both extremely romantic and extremely independent. They are likely to want a mate who won’t shrink from their expansive imagination. They are often attracted to those whom others have overlooked, given the Healers’ rare ability to see the positive qualities that lie beneath the surface.
In romantic relationships, Healers generally seek mates who, like themselves, have a highly developed inner life. An ideal mate must be open to the Healers’ expressions of unique ideas. Healers may need long periods of privacy, followed by periods of intense intimacy, so they are best suited to a partner who can adapt to these changing needs.
Generally thoughtful and considerate, Healers are good listeners and put people at ease. Although they may be reserved in expressing emotion, they are deeply caring and genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is sensed by others, making Healers valued friends and confidants. They do not like conflict and go to great lengths to avoid it. In conflict situations, they place little importance on who is right and who is wrong. They focus on how the conflict makes people feel, a trait that can make them appear irrational and illogical. In such situations, Healers may benefit from stepping out of the situation temporarily so they can reflect and replenish their reserves.
“Occurring in only about one percent of the population” …. hahaha … I’m unique. Some say I’m a freak. Some say I am an acquired taste. Sometimes I do feel out of place and now I understand why. Love me or hate me … doesn’t matter. What matters is I love myself… the unique one. Dare to be different :)
Had my first Yee Sang with my Fookies today to celebrate CheeryDiva’s birthday. Always so happy in Fookies hangouts I’m so full I can last until 4 am.
Don’t stay up late with me. Good Night! ;)
