Yes! We finally bought our wedding rings. It’s a little early but I just can’t stop myself from looking at diamonds and we found the perfect set. Jewelry stores are on sale. Why not buy now? Hehe.

Buying wedding bands are not an easy task.. I’m telling you. When we first decided to shop for a pair, we set our criteria as such:

1) Platinum – Simply because Platinum is more lasting and wedding bands should be for eternity.
2) With diamonds – Usually, men rings do not have diamonds. But diamonds have brought me tremendous luck so I insisted to buy one with diamond for him. Besides, he has developed a liking for diamonds when shopping for my engagement ring. Plus, getting him his own diamond will keep him away from drooling at mine. ^^
3) Same design – We prefer to wear the same design just so it feels like the rings belong together.
4) Resizable – Just in case.
5) Budget – Actually, we didn’t set any budget.

Our criteria later changed. Less stores carry Platinum rings and mostly are fugly. Diamonds on men rings look very girlish due to their settings. Same designs hardly worked too. It was either the design was ugly for the men or ugly for the women. Lets face it. A same design merchandise has different effects on different genders.

After scouting through all jewelry stores in 4 major shopping malls, we finally FINALLY found our perfect ring in Le Lumiere, Gardens MidValley. We were in LOVE with the ring at first glance. The diamond has good hearts and arrows and the settings bring out the shine/potential of the diamonds. Very scintillating. They are in White Gold 18K with same size diamond each, and same design. The women ring sits elegantly and delicately on my finger. Whereas, the men ring looks strong and masculine on his finger. Yay!

Watched Toy Story 3 today. Really funny. I recommend everyone to watch it. Very creative folks they have in Pixar. It’s a bit touching at the ending part and I can’t help but to tear a little. Awwww….

Ahhh… been dying to write this post since Saturday.

On Saturday, I went to Avillion Port Dickson for a Birthday Getaway. I love that resort so much this is the second time I’m there. Swimming at 11pm on their 24 hours swimming pool. Walking on the clean sand, conditioned by the resort. Viewing the breathtaking sceneries of the ocean. Waking up to sounds of ocean waves and rain. Catching a peacock walking side by side next to you on the pavement.

You know what is the best part of all this? Sharing all these things with the people I care about – XCool and the Fookies (wished 4F was here). Here are some photos we took/camwhored.

I’ve been running around today, going as far as Nilai for my business errands. Had a taste of being a debt collector. Geez.

Met up with a few friends for Heng’s birthday last night. Had a lot of fun. Congrats, to Heng, for nailing that big commission! The fella was in all smiles from the moment he walked into the restaurant. Dinner will be on you next time

The title of this post refers to my weekend that has just ended. Basically, I didn’t do much. A lot of resting and pondering things. The hamster in my brains did not rest. Just my body did. I don’t know why I have so many things to think about. Everything under the sun goes right in.

Just got back from XCool’s house. He bought Pinball HD for me today after I ooh’ed and ahh’ed at it. I’ve always been a pinball lover and this game is number one in iPad’s Game Category. It’s really fun playing it on the iPad. Now, I just really need to break the world’s high score. People have 800 million points and the highest I got just now was 8 million. =.=

During the time when I watched Ip Man 1, I already liked it. Donnie Yen is so cool! I just got home from watching Ip Man 2 premiere… Yes. The tickets that I’ve booked wrongly last Saturday. Haha. I was at XCool’s house (in Klang!) at 930pm when we decided to catch the movie. We rushed from Klang to The Curve in less than 45 mins time just in time to get the tickets before it gets released to walk-in folks.

Ip Man 2 was even better than the first! If his personality was like that in real life, I will take him as my idol. I like his calm and patient character. He lets his students make mistakes by themselves and remained calm (and smiley). Truly inspiring. Two thumbs up! Won’t tell you more. Go watch it yourself.

Tomorrow, it’s Iron Man 2. ;P

By the way, I’ve came up with an excellent idea to spice up this blog. Stay tuned for it.

This weekend ended with a good note. I went to Low Yat just now because the silly boy wants to buy Super Street Fighter 4 for PS3. Also, I wanted to look at laptop bags.

After walking and walking around the mall, I got really bored. All the laptop bags are so “manly”. They don’t have many backpacks that are female-friendly. It’s either too big for my Mac or too fugly for me to carry. The silly boy got agitated because he couldn’t get a good price for the game too. We gave up and headed back to Subang.

I suggested to go to Digital Mall to check it out because it’s on our way. That’s where I found my bag!! It’s in red, my lucky color.

Last night, I went for late night movie with XCool and two of my fookies. Initially, I thought I’ve managed to book Ip Man 2 and was so excited about it. I even arrange for a big group of 6 pax. When I was about to buy the ticket, the sales person said it’s for Wednesday night and Ip Man 2 is not played yet. I almost crushed. Felt so sorry and immediately called my friends to let them know. This is not the first time I screw mess up cinema’s seat reservations. I think I’ll let others do the work next time. lol. We ended up watching that local show Ice Kacang, which turned out to be quite good. It’s funny and brings back a lot of nostalgic/childhood memories. Just a little rough in the edges but not bad, I would say.

I managed to convince XCool to practice using only positive words from now on. I kind of think that we’ve been using a lot of negative words and somehow it affects me. It’s funny how we try to use different word to describe something that we could have use a bad word to describe.

Ooo… somebody’s got his iPad. It’s really cool and bravo to Apple for giving all the attention to details. And yes… he is turning me into an Apple fan. While he was raving about the iPad’s functionality, all I can think about was how much $$ making opportunity this brings. Haha.

By the way, I think all those Facebook games are such a waste of time. I’ve seen some people spending half a day playing those. Do you know how much you can do with half a day’s time? Time is the most precious thing you can have, give or take for someone. Don’t waste it! I play Bejeweled when I am taking a rest or needed to release some tension. Even so, I usually play for a while…nothing more than 10 mins.

Every Wednesday is our go-out-drink-coffee-watch-movie day. The movie for today is When In Rome. It’s a pretty entertaining and funny chick flick. The kind of movie I enjoy watching.

After the movie, we hung out at our new found favorite hang out place. In fact, I am writing this entry sitting here. While XCool was working on his iPad projects, I got bored and decided to go for some….Retail Therapy!! Ahh… I’ve been dying to shop for a while now. Couldn’t help myself and bought a few things. I guess it’s okay to splurge a little on the person I love the most…. me! I realize these days I prefer to shop for colorful clothes. Perhaps wearing colorful clothes make me feel happier.

Alright…time to think of what to eat for dinner.

I’m back from my holiday with XCool! Tiring but really awesome.

On Tuesday morning, we drove to Parit Buntar early morning together with Kok Liang, my friend. Stopped there to take care of some business. After that Kok Liang stayed back in Parit Buntar while XCool and I continued our journey to Penang Island. We spent three days exploring, relaxing and eating.

First day, we took it slow and easy. Drove around to chow down some yummy food. All the available food blogs on the Internet really helped us. All we need to do is to key in the address/coordinates into XCool’s GPS and off we go. “In 750m, keep left then keep right”

On the second day, we covered a few places. Started off with Kek Lok Si, followed by Khoo Kongsi. Look whose name I found Mr. Khoo’s! He was in a lot of pictures, together with all other Khoos.





After lunch, I had an appointment to meet KM and Mr Khoo at Sovereign Wealth Management office. Haven’t seen both of them for some time.

Soon after, we proceeded with our eating expedition and then it was beach time! Didn’t really play in the beach because we weren’t comfortable swimming there. Instead, we swam in our hotel’s pool.








The whole time, I was thinking about the brown sugar crispy pancake. I even SMS’ed my friend Alex Lee to ask about the location. I went to the stall he brought us to before but it was not opened! Drove round and round. It seems like all pancake stalls made an agreement to rest on Wednesday. At least that was what the auntie who sold us Pasembur told us at the Georgetown market. Haha.

With the feeling of incomplete and total dissatisfaction, I pestered XCool on Wednesday night. On our way to dinner, we passed by this shop houses which look very familiar. If I remembered correctly, that was the place my sister and I bought the brown sugar pancakes on one of our trips many years ago. This morning, we drove to that place and bingo!!! The uncle was standing there making those lovely pancakes I have been craving for. XCool took a photo of the happy me buying them. Oh so yummy!





All in all, I have a very good trip and I’m back in KL. Things will change again. I have been enlightened with some new inspiration and it’s time to make some changes again. Wish me luck!

I already started catching up with my business issues today. Just had a very unhappy conversation with an agent. @#$#$$%%^^&*^&*#! I shouted at him. He tried to threaten me! I think I probably slipped out some profanity. Opps. I mean… who does he think he is? I am his customer. Not only did he not protect my rights, he wants to threaten me now and claims that I took him as a fool?! He is the one who took me as a fool. @#$%$%&! You can’t threaten me. Easy. Just stop the business deal and refund my money. I may suffer for a while but my business can live without you. Idiot. I spoke to another agent who has been nice to me all this while. In fact, I chatted so long with him that we went into a little further than required. He’s going to help me with something else. See… good people are everywhere. Just need to know how to find them.

Ooo.. by the way, XCool’s first iPad app has been approved. It will be available in the App Store when iPad is launched. So happy for him!

All this happened while we were on our holiday. How great is that?
