“A very merry unbirthday to you…to you”. This tune is ringing in my head. It was from the cartoon Alice in Wonderland by Disney, which I loved to watch when I was young. Last evening, XCool and I caught the new released Alice in Wonderland (in 3D) at TheCurve. It was a fun movie to watch. Bravo, Disney! One thing though, I thought the White Queen looks scary with the black makeup. Tsk tsk. So, where is my Wonderland? I imagine it to be quite different. Hmm…..

On Monday night, I went out for dinner with a dear fookie friend. I told her how much free time I have now and that I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t pick up another full time business/work because I still need to spend some time on my shop once in a while. She told me, ” well, get out there and start networking again.” That’s when I realised…oh no! I haven’t been networking!

She’s right. I should. I have been so focused on my business and love life, I’ve stopped networking. Shame on me. Okay. It’s time to get back out there.

Universe, please bring more positive people into my life. Thank you, Universe!

Meanwhile, I found a hobby which I would like to try my hands on. I’ve been reading and watching out for it. ^^

This morning, XCool and I went to SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia) to register another business. We were there early and got what we wanted in about an hour’s time. Yay! A new source of income…how exciting!

Read this post Good Service by Lowie about my shop. I wasn’t aware of her experience and reading it from her blog is quite amusing. I’m happy to hear that my staff lived up to her expectations.

These are a few happy things to jot down for today. Happy weekend ahead!

Done with Payroll and it’s only 3rd of March. I’m (and my staff is) getting better at this. Woo hoo! Yawn …

Dark clouds are cleared too. Thoughts that are ambiguous and bothersome are over. Fights are good for relationships. It’s how you fight that matters. Are your fights optimistic or pessimistic? Do you fight nicely or violently? That makes a big difference and I can feel it. To know the devil is to know God. Or, in layman terms, to know bitterness is to know sweetness. Happy!

This was such an eventful and tiring day. My hands are itching to blog.

My day started with a coffee and two fishballs. Kept my stomach empty for an important and big CNY meal at our beloved 5F’s house!

She cooked some yummilicious food and the rest of fookies brought some food too. I brought Yee Sang. We ate and laughed. Then, we watched her wedding videos and laughed. Very quickly, 3 hours passed. We didn’t call it a day yet. Instead, we packed some ridiculous funny food (and laughed) to move on to 4F’s house. We went to 4F’s house and continued to laugh. Get the idea? We laughed a lot!

Soon after, XCool and I went back to Subang to have dinner with my family. My baby brother is leaving for UK tomorrow after being here for a good 3 months holiday.

After the dinner, it’s time to shop for a … Mac mini. You see, XCool needed another backup computer now that he is working on his business full time. What’s better than a Mac? Err… well, basically, nothing. We went to Machines store at the nearest shopping mall, Sunway Pyramid, but they ran out of stock! Grrr. After a few calls to ensure availability, we zoomed to Mid Valley’s Machine store. That wasn’t the end of it. They didn’t have the type of cable XCool needed. Grrr. The salesperson made a few calls and told us the cable is available at … Sunway Pyramid! (=.=)’ With my fast great driving skills, we managed to rushed back to Sunway Pyramid in time.

The Mac mini was opened in my house. XCool took pictures of it while unboxing it. (Something he likes to do but I cannot comprehend). The Mac mini is so small, it’s like the size of my home router. It’s just two times thicker. Very cool!

I am slacking a little these days. I still remember my goals. In fact, I’ve had a few ideas in my head right now. One of them, I’ll need XCool’s help, which he has already agreed. Yay! Another one needs more research. Will do it after I’m done with payroll next week. Excited.

…. from holiday mood.

Last few days had been very relaxing. We put our restaurants thru a “stress test” a.k.a. running by itself. The outcome was obviously good. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have the chance to use the word “relaxing” in my description.

Yesterday, I was hanging out in XCool house and when I was about to leave, he told me to stay back if I want to 拜天宫. What is that? It is a ritual for Hokkien Chinese to pray to the Heaven Palace on the 9th day of Chinese New Year (at the struck of 12 midnight). This is a ritual my mum’s side of relatives used to practice when I was younger. They are Hokkien Chinese. As we got older, my mum and her relatives gradually stop practising it. It’s nice to revisit. The sky in Klang was lit up with lots and lots of firework. Fireworks are great. They lift our spirits. As I admired them, I made a few more wishes and talked to Universe thru my mind. I’m not greedy, just an opportunist!

Today, I officially went back to my work. Was checking out some Inland Revenue things that I need to fulfill for my shop in the area of Human Resource. So much work to do. The thing that really annoyed me was that they require us to use 3.5 floppy diskettes to send in to Banks to make payment. My goodness. I haven’t used those ancient device since my secondary school days. WTH.

It’s a few minutes to 2am. I just got back from closing my shop. If you have been following Apple news, tonight is a big night for Apple fans. Steve Jobs is going to introduce a new product or more speculated as a tablet. iSlate? iTablet?

I’ve wrote about how much of an Apple geek fan XCool is in an old post from the blog entries I accidentally deleted. Anyway, I’ve revived it and here it is -> Dating an Apple Fan. (It is just the content, didn’t bother to make it look fancy. Sorry la). XCool was raving about it and was literally jumping around in his room just now. His passion for Apple is just so inspiring and funny at the same time. I swore he kowtowed at Steve Jobs while watching a video featuring him. Now, he is OMGing every single thing that is going on in live blogs/tweet/webinar that is covering the event. Haha.

Tired. I spent the whole afternoon training my staff on preparing new dishes and drinks from a new menu which will be launch this Friday. Yay! Things are going very good in my shop. Many accomplishments worth celebrating

Back to this person I despise (from my last blog entry). After much thoughts and discussion with a few people around me, I decided to let my hurtful feelings go. LET GO AND LET GOD. Today, I saw a tweet from TonyRobbins quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson’s words “All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.” I bet there is a reason for Universe to put me through this agony. One thing’s for sure, the kind of pain I have been experiencing, I promise myself that I will never inflict it on my future generations.

I received this in an e-mail and it was from The Secret:

Hmmm…. easy to bless most people I despise. In fact, I’ve already blessed most of them. Only this one person I can’t. I can’t even imagine the thought of just shaking this person’s hand, let alone blessing the person. I’m going to have to confront this person very soon. Universe, help me!

So I spoke to XCool and asked him what he thinks. His reply was

Update: It’s called an iPad! I want

Been really busy. Doing what? Changing the fate of my business thus changing my world. I think things are going well. I’ve hired an experienced F&B talent to straighten up my system. You know what? I now realize I don’t have a system at all. Paid so much money to take up this restaurant franchise and the franchisor didn’t guide us in this area. Geez. Note to self: Be careful when you choose a franchise. Make sure you find out what are the support your franchisor will provide. These homework are worth doing.

Since hiring this person, I have reduced my staff count saving me RM3000 a month at least. Firing my staff sure wasn’t easy, though. Then, my supervisors were trained to take up more responsibilities, which equates to me having more time later on. Yippie! Many more good things to come. Next thing to tackle….efficient control over inventory and reduce cost. Yay!

In view of me having more free time from now onwards, I’m still looking for opportunities to build few more sources of income. One at a time, of course. Finally, the other day, I had an idea. Thank you, Universe! Now I am doing my homework on this idea. Can it work out? We’ll see….

I still haven’t got time to make my blog more beautify. I apologize for that. I have been too busy fixing my business. Today, in particular, is very challenging. I managed to settle all issues. And yep…. you’ve guessed it! It was staff issues again.

Tired physically and emotionally.

Universe, please help me to get all things straight and right. Also, please help me to slap this person so that she is more aware of what she is doing. Thank you, Universe!

Today, I fired another staff. This is the second staff for the week. It was a rather tough thing to do because this staff didn’t actually do anything wrong.Firing a staff who did something wrong is so much easier. It’s just business. I didn’t need her anymore. I was procrastinating until I couldn’t take it anymore and talked to her. It went well, I think. I just saved my company RM3500/month for the two staff I’ve fired within this week. One more staff to fire and I’m all set.

Business in my restaurant has really picked up. I’m so happy!

Meanwhile, I am looking for new avenues to earn money. Have a few in mind and need to do my research. Anyone has any business proposition for me? Any other than MLM direct selling business?
