My Dream Wedding Photos

Published by under Wedding

I was planning to pick a few pre-wedding photos I like the most to show some of you, especially those who have contacted me about My Dream Wedding house. I got really lazy because I like all of them!

Anyway, because I am quite busy with my Internet Marketing work lately (will blog about that next time), I’m going to just give you the link to the album in my Facebook :)

Our Wedding Day

Published by under Uncategorized

After a really long time, my wedding is finally over. Yesterday will be one of the most memorable day in my life. Everything went very smoothly with some hiccups here and there. No hiccups too major and it turned out to be a very beautiful wedding.

I’m very happy with the services I’ve gotten from my vendors. Almost all of them have received more than one compliments from my guests. One of our not-that-close-friend actually commented that our wedding is the best wedding she had ever attended. I felt very grateful to the vendors and thought I’d do them a favor and give them some testimonial online.

1) Whizarts Photography

When I was looking for a good photographer, I really didn’t have to look very far. My secondary school friend, Ke Wynn, was already pretty well known in Penang. He worked very hard yesterday and I can’t wait to see my photos.

2) Precious Moments Wedding Services

Evan truly was the easiest person to work with. She is friendly, creative and most of all accommodating. I’m very amazed by her decoration job. She totally transformed my wedding from normal to wow! I have so many people complimenting on the decoration.

3) Rhumba Live Band

Rhumba pretty much is the biggest reason why my guests had a good time. They really are awesome. I chose Rhumba after watching their performance in one of my cookies’ wedding. I thought Jacky was great, he can play so many instruments. Also, Kenny have a voice that is quite like Jacky Cheung. Kian loves Jacky Cheung song so I know he will like it. Jacky played a very nice oldies (Herb Alpert – This guy’s in love) on the saxophone while ushering us in on the first march-in. Kenny was great too in singing our second march-in song (So much in love). We didn’t get to hear all their performance but those that we heard are very good. Many said they are the best wedding band they’ve ever heard.

4) Emcee William

Being a perfectionist, our emcee really helped a lot in controlling the crowd. Besides his witty and fun personality, he also helped out in planning the agenda and coordinating with the hotel folks on all the minor things that wouldn’t have occurred to me at all. Initially, I didn’t want to hire an emcee. I’m so glad I did. Looking back, if I didn’t hire William, I think my wedding would have been very chaotic due to my inexperience with events. Money well spent!

5) Makeup artist Vicki

Unfortunately, she does not have a website for me to link. My makeup artist was really good. At first, I engaged this lady who did makeup for my sister and many other cousins in my family. We trust that she has very good skills. When she told me that she couldn’t make it for my wedding and had arranged a partner of hers for me, I was crushed. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, actually. Her partner was just as good, if not better. My cousin told me that she’s very good with hair. I have to second that. Many have complimented on my first march-in hair (what my girlfriends known as “the shakira hair” lol). It was a big hairstyle and I wasn’t very sure about it when she suggested. It turned out very nice!

6) Storybook

Enya customized a very lovely card that goes with my theme, Apple Wonderland. I troubled her so many times by adding more and more card orders. She was still willing to help me rush the printings. Very grateful.

7) Chocolate Wrapper

Affordable customized chocolate bars. What more can I ask for? :) I think my guest thinks they are nice. Many took photos of it and posted in Facebook. Here’s one.

8 ) Premiere Hotel

Although we were a little bit unhappy about something they did, we think they have been a good host. They apologized for their mistake and made up by giving us 5 free night stays in their hotel. Serene has been exceptionally helpful and provided top class service throughout the whole time. Their management staff were just as cooperative. The ballroom was more than functional.

9) My Dream Wedding

We were a unhappy with them pressuring us when we were choosing our pre-wedding photos. The problem was that all the photos were so nice, it was hard for us to decide. Because hubby didn’t like to see me all stressed up, he told them we will buy all the nice photos. I was very angry because it’s a lot of money but in the end, I realised I’m wrong. I should thank him instead of scold him. I’m glad we spent that money because we really enjoy looking at the photos. Our guests think they are good too. I’ve received many “wow!” “wah!” from my beloved aunties. Apart from the photos, their dresses are alright. Very limited, though. I ended up wearing two wedding gowns instead of one wedding and an evening gown. Reason was because I couldn’t find a nice evening gown!! I ended up wearing the kwa and two gowns I tried on when I first visited them and before I paid my deposit. Overall, I will give them a 7/10 but a 10/10 for their photography (ask for Charles as your photographer).

10) Liez Cakes and Etc.

I really loved the dummy cake she created for us. Beautiful! However, trying to communicate with her is a tad hard. She’s a very busy person. It’s still manageable.

My cousin said my wedding was perfect and that I’ve put in a lot of effort. Actually, it’s not just the efforts I’ve put in. It is also my luck in finding really good vendors. If you want to engage any of the above, let me know. I can refer you.
