In two more days, I’ll be off to meet my idol, get some life-changing inspirations from him, have fun in my pre-wedding honeymoon and relax. A little nervous about walking on fire, though. The past few weeks have been so hectic that this is something I look forward to. Thank you, hubby, for making this trip happen.
On top of that, I received some good news last few days. Really happy. Today, another very good news. Happy.
I’ll blog if I have free time in Australia. As for now, tudeluuuu….
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy
There’s nothing you can make that can’t me made
No one you can save that can’t be saved
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time
It’s easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
There’s nothing you can know that isn’t known
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown
There’s nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be
It’s easy
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
All you need is love, all together now
All you need is love, everybody
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
Love is all you need
Love is all you need
Love is all you need

Met up two of my besties last night in a temple. One of them told me that she’s got a job offer in another country and thinking of taking it up. There goes another best friend of mine who will be far away from reach. While we’re still close at heart, it sometimes feel so different not having them nearby. I just love all my besties so much. They have stood by me so much in the last few years. Life would have been so different without them!
I requested for Telekom Malaysia to install UniFi in my shop and house. Because of my upcoming pre-wedding honeymoon trip, I rushed them to have it installed earlier. My shop’s UniFi was installed last Friday. Apparently, the installation package came with 15m fibre optic cable only. I had to pay for another 20m. In addition to that, they recommended that I use casing to protect the fibre option cable claiming that too much sunlight exposure can spoil the cables easily. The casing comes with additional charges. After the full installation, we had to fork out another RM450. I guess that is fair.
For three days, I had no problems with the connection. Everything was so fast. Speed was awesome. During my university days in US, I had T3 connection when staying in the dormitory. After returning to Malaysia and using Streamyx for many years now, I forgot how a broadband speed is supposed to be.
My enjoyment was short-lived. Yesterday night, I started experiencing all sorts of problems with the DLink router TM gave me. Out of 10 computers connected to the router, only a few had internet connection. The rest were sort of blocked by the router to proceed with DNS request. Feeling so frustration and after explaining to so many customers, I didn’t know what to do. Hubby came and helped me. We came across this manual written by a UniFi user http://unifi.athena.my and finally realized a few things.
1) TM configured the router to have two types of login. One as “admin” and another as “operator”. They only revealed the “admin” one to me. The “operator” login was a higher level and has more access to router settings. Worst, they set default passwords for this login. Geez! Why would they do that? It’s so dangerous especially for shop owners like me. What if my customers knew about this and login as “operator” and hack my system or changed the settings? Where is the security in this?
2) The DLink router TM gave sucks. It seems that a lot of people are complaining about this router. So, hubby followed the instructions from http://unifi.athena.my to turn the DLink router into a bridge and use my previous expensive router. It worked!
I feel so blessed to have him. He’s like my hero.
Another problem with UniFi was the free phone line that came with it. From day one, the phone couldn’t be used. There were tones but calls cannot be made out or received. I called them at least 7 times today. At least 3-4 calls were dropped halfway in the conversation. Two of the representatives were rude. I was so frustrated.
After all these UniFi ordeals, I’m glad that everything is up and running properly. I have nothing to blog about these days so I thought I’d blog about this so that people can take precautions. Haha.
After many many months of scouting for a good and reasonable wedding decorator, I finally found an excellent one! I went thru a few ones that seem quite good but ended up either really expensive or not competent enough. It’s quite challenging to find someone who would understand your taste and not just in it for the business. It appears that this lady I’m engaging is truly passionate about what she does. Her charges are so reasonable and she’s such a jolly person to work with. Happy! So so happy that I found her.
After our first meeting, she went back and did a lot of research on my theme. Today, she came up with so many wonderful ideas. Some ideas I’ve never even thought about it. I even found my wedding cake today. I’ve been looking for a fake dummy cake for so long and there it was sitting on her display shop. It’s a little old but I told her to spice it up and she’s totally cool with it. Getting a real cake is really expensive. I don’t think I’ll be serving the cake so it just doesn’t make sense to get one. But then again, most people focus on the cake because it’s the only outstanding item on the stage but it can’t be too ugly. I won’t be decorating my stage much so the cake is a very important decoration to have.
I have yet to reveal who she is but I will… I just want to confirm my booking before I share with everyone. Stay tuned.
Wedding decorator (by far, the hardest thing to scout for) – checked. Wedding cake – checked. Car deco, flower bouquet and corsages – checked. Wooooo hoooo! Next are wine supplier, wedding favors and invitation cards.
Yesterday, I had my first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. Even with his really busy projects going on right now, he spared the whole of yesterday for me. We went for an early dinner in this place called Kissaten at Jaya One. They serve Japanese Western Fusion food and it’s delicious.
After that, we went for a movie, Shaolin. The movie was pretty good and it is a true example of how dirty politics are. Men are willing to kill and commit all sorts of unethical acts just to have name and power. Ish!
I had a fun time, indeed. Somewhere in our conversations, we were teasing each other about regretting on signing the marriage papers. After some teasing sessions, he said “Just joking! Of course I didn’t regret. I just regret not knowing you earlier.” Awww…. That is one of the best things he had ever said to me (or anyone else have said to me). <3
This is a picture of me, fooling around with my top. Haha. I’m a ninja/terrorist!
I hope everyone had a Valentine’s Day as good as mine. Sometimes it’s not about the flowers, or the chocolates, or the jewelries. Sometimes it’s about the thoughts. You can say that everyday is Valentine’s Day but have you really celebrated your love any other day? Most people who said “Everyday is a Valentine’s Day” don’t really do. What’s so wrong about having a special day to celebrate love. (Btw, it’s not only romantic love but also love for your family, friends and etc.) Romance is what determines the long term potential of a couple/relationship. I hereby wish all the couples in the world to have never-ending love and romance. Enjoy it because you can…
After the wonderful day where I was “crowned” Mrs Lim, my friends have been posting the ROM pictures they took in Facebook. So many! On top of that, there were gazillions wishes coming from everyone. People who seldom (or never) comment on my FB materials, this time purposely did so to send their wishes. I’m very overwhelmed and touched. Thank you all!
As I’ve always said, love is the one of the best gifts you can ever get (second is other people’s time). I only love those who love me. Because loving someone who doesn’t is just a waste of precious time. Thank you, everyone again. Being Mrs Lim now feels great. Him and I have been trying to call each other’s parents as our own parents. Hard to change the name calling and we have been teasing each other about it. Funny.
My aunt told me that I should also plan my marriage while I plan my wedding. After all, wedding is only one day and marriage is forever. It made a lot of sense. To me, I think that trust is the most important thing about a relationship. If one party cannot trust the other, always doubting, then he/she will find that they are constantly unhappy. It takes days/years to prove yourself as trustworthy but only one day to break it. To start a relationship with a person already breaking the trust in the beginning probably is a no-fail sign of disastrous relationship. This is the reason why I always tell my friends not to become a third party. Because eventually if you were to narrow it down to two parties again, you’ll find that you cannot trust your partner. It is not worth the time to invest in a 90% doom to fail relationship
Second thing that is most important is understanding. A good relationship is when both parties can make efforts to try to understand each other’s behaviors and values. Different people act differently when in the same situation. If you are understanding, you can look at the bigger picture and understand why your partner does what he/she does instead of punishing him/her for not meeting your expectations.
Third important things will be a tie between communication and teamwork. A lasting relationship will be one where both parties can communicate properly, nicely and consistently. Challenges come and go in our lives. Your partner and you should act as a team to overcome them.

I’ve been so busy lately. My friend called me “busy woman”.
There was a terrible news last week which caused a huge disappointment. I was so disappointed. So so so disappointed. Everything I have planned for this year seems to need to change. I have to re-plan. Well, life is about readjusting, isn’t it?
From all the photos my friends took, these are the ones I love the most! So fortunate to have such great photographers as friends…
Portraits photos taken by Steven at Marriott Hotel
Really really love this picture very much! Didn’t know the fountain behind made it look very fairy-tale like. Well done to camera man!
The shoe I’ve searched high and low for. Really really like it. Although pricey but so comfortable. Thanks to him for insisting on this pair and buying them for me.
An upclosed profile photo taken by my good friend, Pei San.
How do I feel? I feel extremely happy. I’m still feeling the endorphin rush in my head. Why? Because I’m glad that the day went so well. My family and friends were so cooperative. All that I’ve planned were enjoyed by everyone. I’m happy that I have Steven and some other friends who helped me in photography. I’m happy that I found Marriott Hotel. The hotel was perfect for portrait photos. We stayed back for our complimentary one night stay, 3 free meals and free spa treatments. Totally worth it!
We finally left the hotel at 4pm today and went for a movie. The Green Hornet. Pretty okay. Jay Chou is as cute as always.
So tired now. Going to turn in early tonight. Good night!
Today is the day. An auspicious and happy day that lasted really long.
Here are some sneak pics of the day. My camera has limited photos taken and mostly blur BECAUSE I wasn’t the one taking the photos. Waiting for all other “professional photographers” who came. I felt like a celebrity. One post requires 6-7 takes from different cameras. Lol.
My bouquet of white cymbidium and roses.
I’m going to sign it!
His ring with mine in the background. Same design!
Thanks to iPhone and video conferencing, I have all my fookies with me!! (missing 7th fookie though…)
