Serenade
I joined XCool and his family for dinner to celebrate Mother’s Day in Klang Parade. About ten years also, I used to hang out there with a bunch of guys from La Salle Klang. Dinner was so so. We did some shopping after that.
XCool’s nephew is cute as heaven. I played “Up” for him to watch this afternoon. The cheeky but smart little 4 yrs old boy kissed me when he saw grandma kissed grandpa in the movie. Unconditional love from children. It’s always the best! XCool said he was jealous. The little one is obsessed with washing machines. He calls it “Suey Kah Ki”, the mispronunciation of “Suey Sah Ki” (washing machine in Hokkien). He repeated the words so many times in a day. When we were in Giant hypermarket, he wanted me to carry him so that he can open and close the washing machine’s doors. This kid, I tell you, will be quite a heartbreaker when he’s older.
Approaching the end of the night, I was hanging out with XCool in his room. He pulled out his iPad to play some songs on YouTube and serenaded me. Awww. How nice! He’s actually quite good in singing but only in tenor and some parts of bass. When he pulls an Alto, his voice will be out of tune. Hehe.
