Give Me Light!

Published by under Life

Hi Universe,

Today, I have a few things that demands self confidence. I am writing to you in hope that you will grant me a lot of self confidence and also to ensure the success of all issues.

Thank you, Universe!

Sincerely,
Tze Ping

Yesterday, XCool and I found a favorite hangout place to work when we are sick of being at home. The silly boy actually got sick because of staying in the house too much. After doing some work, we went to watch Date Night. The movie was really hilarious. Thinking of some scenes from the movie makes me grin from ear to ear. Quite a lot of profanity and vulgarity, which are uncensored.

Some things have surfaced in my mind causing some mixed feelings. I don’t know what to think about. I used to dread at the thought of it. But now, should I be more receptive? “What’s the matter with you, Tze Ping?”

Pattidana

Published by under Life

I woke up super early this morning to go to the Vihara (Buddhist temple). Today, they organized a Pattidana in conjunction with Qing Ming. Pattidana is an event where devotees are welcomed to offer robes, food, flowers and light to the temple or monks. In return, they can transfer the good merits to their departed ones. It is believed that if your departed ones are in a less fortunate place, transferring merits is the only way for us to bring some joy to them so that they can be happier.

Anyway, I will visit the temple whenever there is a Pattidana to transfer merits to my mum. That is the only thing I could do for her. I do not have anything left of her, literally. we’ve disposed her ashes into the ocean as per her wish. This year, I am better. I merely teared a little when we were chanting Loving Kindness chants (Metta Sutta). During my mum’s funeral, we played the chant continuously. Just hearing the chant will make me think of her funeral and how I stared at her in thru a small window on her coffin the whole two nights after everyone left.

I love you, mum. I am very proud of you. After all these years ( 7 years to be exact ), your friends from the Vihara still remember us. I miss you a lot. Here’s a song dedication to you for being the world’s greatest mum. Whenever I listen to this song, I will think of you. Just like him, I would give a lot if I could have one more day with you.

Losing a parent is really painful….cherish them while you still have them.

Birthday Getaway

Published by under XCool

Yesterday was XCool’s birthday. I arranged a 2D1N getaway to a nice resort in Port Dickson called Avillion. This was after hearing so many good reviews about it from MalaysianBabes forum and also from my best friends themselves. One day before our trip (Thurs), XCool fell sick. I was so upset because I couldn’t change the room reservation date. So we decided to continue with the initial plan.

On Friday morning, I picked him up and he was still a little sick. When I realized that we forgot our cameras, I became even more upset. We used his GPS to guide us and for some reasons, it led us through all the winding trunk roads. The journey was probably prolonged even though the GPS suggested that route because it was “the shortest time” route. I got even more upset.

Eventually, we arrived at the resort and got ourselves a water chalet room. It was lovely! There was a four poster bed and really really big bathroom (half open aired). The resort itself is really beautiful. Next to them was a small beach area with really clean sand. I think the resort conditioned them. They were so soft you can hear squeaky noises when you walk on the. No joke! There were two swimming pools in the resort and we spent a lot of time swimming until we got hungry.

While showering to get ready for dinner, the electricity in the room went *poof*! Oh what luck! Power outage. At that point of time, I got kinda upset again. XCool cheered me up and took me out to search for somewhere nice for dinner. We came across this seafood village and decided to give it a try. The food was delicious and we kinda over ordered. Look at the size of these tiger prawns…they are as big as a tennis ball! It costs RM8 per piece but Yummmmmm!

After dinner, we went back to hotel and took another walk around the resort. The ocean view was breathtaking at night. I just love the resort so much. At 11pm, having nothing to do, we went for another swim. Haha. How nice…the pool water was warm and therapeutic.

The next morning, we lazed around until it was time to check out. XCool said this is by far the best resort he has been to in Malaysia. I agree with him. I wish that someday I’ll own a villa similar to this resort.

Oh by the way, I gave him a Hugo Boss brown wallet for his birthday. It was bought online and thank God he likes it. :)

Happy Birthday, darling! Muaks!

Objective C

Published by under Business,XCool

Still learning Objective C. XCool called me his apprentice a.k.a. hacker. That’s because I’m not learning Objective C from scratch. I am learning it by hacking his app. :P I’m too lazy to learn it from scratch. So I’ve been using his app as a template and customizing it to my liking. Every once in a while, I will need to ask him for help.

Well, it ain’t that bad. In fact, it’s wonderful! I’ve successfully created one App. Yippieeeeeeee! Now, I am working on the second App. It gets a bit more complicated but still interesting.

This Saturday is XCool’s birthday. Am going away for a short 2D1N trip tomorrow. Yipppieeeeeeee! Time for some R&Rs.

Car, Tax and Property

Published by under Business,Life

I sent my baby to the workshop early in the morning today because of 1) broken horn 2) engine’s timing feels weird. While waiting for them to repair my car, I used my beloved-one-and-only-orange-skinned MacBook Pro to do some work. My car’s engine runs quietly now. Yippieeeeeeee!

Continued with my work after lunch at home. Suddenly, I remembered that I need to file my income tax for this year. Last year, I signed up for e-filing so that’s what I’m doing this year too. It’s easy. I took only 10 minutes or so and voila! LHDN owes me RM1.3k. Yippieeeeeeee!

Soon it was time to meet up with my property agent. I finally managed to kick my bad tenant out. There were quite some headaches he’s caused me. I actually shouted at him on the phone many times (definitely more than ten times in total). So glad the whole problem is solved. I’ve learnt my lesson -> never be too soft-hearted when it comes to this. He promised to pay me the money he still owes me before June 1st. It’s not much but I’ll wait and see. Looking on the bright side, he left a few appliances and furnitures in my apartment – TV, washing machine, wardrobe and what not. Yippieeeeeeee!

All those difficult confrontations I’ve gone through in the last two years have made me a tad stronger. I refused to be bullied. Most of the time, older men will take advantage of my gender and age. They try to bully or undermine my capability when it comes to making business deals. All I can say is “F*k off!”. I’m sick of being mistreated like that. This is a new era. You should reassess whether if your many-years-worth-of-experience can be successfully applied nowadays before you come and mess with me. And please … don’t even think about flirting in order to make me succumb to your ideas. I don’t work like that. There’s only one person who can make me sway that way. ;) Yippieeeeeeee!

Universe, please bring only positive people into my life. Thank you, Universe! Yippieeeeeeee!

Ok. *Beep* Power off!

C’est La Vie

Published by under Business

Every beginning of the month, after paying my staff, I will need to take at least one day to go around EPF, SOCSO, LHDN and more offices to settle Human Resources matters.

My first stop for today was the EPF office in Petaling Jaya. After parking my car, I took a 50 cents from my car’s coin box knowing that that’s the parking charge amount. When I was done with all the work, I whipped out my parking ticket and inserted it into the Autopay machine. To my dismay, the fee is now RM1! My goodness. They revised the price to increase 100%. Feeling very sore and all, I can’t help but to wonder… what would happen if I increase the price of my restaurant food by 100%. I think I might lose my customers right away. Sure. The parking fee is a small amount and customers won’t feel it… but look at how much more they are making!

Been a really tiring day. I have more errands to run than usual. XCool’s mum invited me to their house for dinner because tonight is Qing Ming festival. So here I am already at his house continuing my work. I stole some time to write my blog because I needed to release some tension and rest.

I’m still learning XCode and Objective C. Seems a bit complicated. Need to brush off the dusts on my programming skills. :)

Thank you, Universe, for the opportunities!

Survived!

Published by under Health,Life

I survived a food poisoning drama. After a series of vomiting and diarrhea, I am still alive. Phiew!

The night after my Penang trip, I started throwing up non-stop. Any water I drank, I threw them all up. Then, there were mild diarrhea too. Went to see a doctor yesterday morning and he prescribed some medications for me. However, they didn’t work very well and I ended up puking a few more times. I spent the whole day sleeping yesterday to gain back my health. XCool came and accompany me but I was sleeping most of the time.

This morning, I woke up feeling better and normal again. This is the worst food poisoning drama I’ve ever experienced. I wonder which food caused this?

Crispy Pancakes

Published by under Just For Fun

I’m back from my holiday with XCool! Tiring but really awesome.

On Tuesday morning, we drove to Parit Buntar early morning together with Kok Liang, my friend. Stopped there to take care of some business. After that Kok Liang stayed back in Parit Buntar while XCool and I continued our journey to Penang Island. We spent three days exploring, relaxing and eating.

First day, we took it slow and easy. Drove around to chow down some yummy food. All the available food blogs on the Internet really helped us. All we need to do is to key in the address/coordinates into XCool’s GPS and off we go. “In 750m, keep left then keep right”

On the second day, we covered a few places. Started off with Kek Lok Si, followed by Khoo Kongsi. Look whose name I found :D Mr. Khoo’s! He was in a lot of pictures, together with all other Khoos.

After lunch, I had an appointment to meet KM and Mr Khoo at Sovereign Wealth Management office. Haven’t seen both of them for some time.

Soon after, we proceeded with our eating expedition and then it was beach time! Didn’t really play in the beach because we weren’t comfortable swimming there. Instead, we swam in our hotel’s pool.

The whole time, I was thinking about the brown sugar crispy pancake. I even SMS’ed my friend Alex Lee to ask about the location. I went to the stall he brought us to before but it was not opened! Drove round and round. It seems like all pancake stalls made an agreement to rest on Wednesday. At least that was what the auntie who sold us Pasembur told us at the Georgetown market. Haha.

With the feeling of incomplete and total dissatisfaction, I pestered XCool on Wednesday night. On our way to dinner, we passed by this shop houses which look very familiar. If I remembered correctly, that was the place my sister and I bought the brown sugar pancakes on one of our trips many years ago. This morning, we drove to that place and bingo!!! The uncle was standing there making those lovely pancakes I have been craving for. XCool took a photo of the happy me buying them. Oh so yummy!

All in all, I have a very good trip and I’m back in KL. Things will change again. I have been enlightened with some new inspiration and it’s time to make some changes again. Wish me luck!

Thank you, Universe! I will work harder and smarter!

I already started catching up with my business issues today. Just had a very unhappy conversation with an agent. @#$#$$%%^^&*^&*#! I shouted at him. He tried to threaten me! I think I probably slipped out some profanity. Opps. I mean… who does he think he is? I am his customer. Not only did he not protect my rights, he wants to threaten me now and claims that I took him as a fool?! He is the one who took me as a fool. @#$%$%&! You can’t threaten me. Easy. Just stop the business deal and refund my money. I may suffer for a while but my business can live without you. Idiot. I spoke to another agent who has been nice to me all this while. In fact, I chatted so long with him that we went into a little further than required. He’s going to help me with something else. :) See… good people are everywhere. Just need to know how to find them.

*******************

Ooo.. by the way, XCool’s first iPad app has been approved. It will be available in the App Store when iPad is launched. So happy for him!

All this happened while we were on our holiday. How great is that? :)
