Positive 101

Published by under Life,Tze Ping,XCool

It has been a long day for me. I spent the whole day in the hospital accompanying XCool. He went for a minor surgery to infuse adamantium into his body and become Wolverine (haha… he wish!). He’s okay now and will be discharged tomorrow. Yay! He’s so funny. He kept cracking geeky jokes about becoming a mutant with the doctors. When he returned from the operation theatre still half-numbed and shivering weak, he saw me and asked if I missed him. All the nurses laughed at him and ‘scolded’ him for being cheeky even under the effects of anesthetic. :D

Yesterday, I met up with Lowie and Koon Lip. Amidst our lazy Sunday afternoon conversation, Lowie mentioned to me that one of my readers commented about my positive attitude. It got me thinking. Am I a positive person? I like to write positive things. Does that mean I am really positive in real life?

If you were to know me two years ago, I definitely wasn’t. In fact, I was a pretty negative person at that time. I always think about the worst case scenario in everything that I used to do. An old friend used to advise me to be more like my sister, who appears to be happy all the time.

Hmmm. I definitely think that I have changed to become (a lot) more positive. Being positive is the biggest part about practicing Law of Attraction. It gives more energy to good things. I may appear to be emotionless and calm. I may look unhappy (as most people have told me) but I’m actually very happy inside. Over the years, I have learned to let things go and move on. I’ve wasted one year plus being depressed and I’m not going to waste more time sobbing at any challenges which may surface in the future.

Here are a few tips I’ve developed in the area of Letting Go and Letting God:

1) Give yourself some time to grief – Cry if you need to. Cry as much as you can… until you are extremely tired.

2) Do not blame yourself – There’s this thing about women. They like to blame themselves when bad things happen to them. Sorry for the stereotype but men don’t do that so often. You probably did what you could.

3) Find out what you really want – There is a saying… if you don’t know what you want, how do you expect others to know? how would you expect Universe to give it to you? Even if you got it, you wouldn’t know or appreciate it.

4) Focus on the things you’ve identified in (3) above – Remind yourself everyday that this is what you want.

5) Then, have faith that the item you asked for will manifest itself. It will. Trust in yourself and the Universe.

6) If you are always focused on the things you want, you will find it easier to forget the things you don’t want.

7) After all, happiness is from within. Nobody can make that decision but yourself. It’s all in your mind.

Argh…. few days more to Chinese New Year and I’ve no new clothes yet. Maybe tomorrow….. Good night, folks.

Thank you, Universe for the success of the surgery. :)

Idealist Healer

Published by under Just For Fun

After reading my friend Heng’s blog on the Jung Typology Test, I decided to take the test. I am an INFP (Idealist Healer). Based on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Healer_(role_variant), below are the traits of an Idealist Healer. Wow. So true!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Overview
Healers are introspective, cooperative, informative, and attentive. Their tranquil and reserved exterior masks a passionate inner life. Healers care deeply about causes that interest them, and they often pursue those causes with selfless devotion. They are highly compassionate and empathetic to the needs of others, seeking to bring peace, health, and integrity to their companions and to society at large. They want to heal the problems that trouble individuals and correct the conflicts that divide social groups.
Healers tend to be private individuals who have a strong sense of right and wrong and an idealistic worldview. They are deeply committed to things that are positive or good and may be inspired to make extraordinary sacrifices in attempts to achieve their ideals. They are prone to errors of fact as they follow their feelings more than they follow logical analysis. However, following their feelings also means that Healers seldom make errors of feeling.
Healers are often misunderstood as children. In practical minded families, their devotion to idealism may be frowned upon and may even be punished. Most other role variants can shrug off the parental expectations that don’t fit them, but healers are greatly affected by it. They want to please their parents and their siblings and, in attempt to do this, they may mask or hide their differences. This can create inner turmoil within the Healer. Healers are often better at detecting this inner turmoil than other role variants. Healers seek unity of mind, body and spirit, perhaps because of the inner turmoil caused during their upbringing.
Healers are adaptable, patient with complicated situations, and welcoming of new ideas and information. They are impatient with routine details. As they are aware of people’s feelings, Healers relate well with others. They are also comfortable working alone given their private nature. Healers have an interest in scholarly activities and often have exceptional language skills.
Occurring in only about one percent of the population , Healers can easily feel isolated. They value harmony and integrity in human relationships, but often find these values to be out of step with the more concrete pursuits of the rest of the world. Feeling “different,” they may wonder whether something is wrong with them. But those differences—an ethical nature, a devotion to ideals, a commitment to harmonious interaction—are in fact some of their greatest strengths.
Love and relationships
One of the rarest of the types, Healers can be both extremely romantic and extremely independent. They are likely to want a mate who won’t shrink from their expansive imagination. They are often attracted to those whom others have overlooked, given the Healers’ rare ability to see the positive qualities that lie beneath the surface.
In romantic relationships, Healers generally seek mates who, like themselves, have a highly developed inner life. An ideal mate must be open to the Healers’ expressions of unique ideas. Healers may need long periods of privacy, followed by periods of intense intimacy, so they are best suited to a partner who can adapt to these changing needs.
Generally thoughtful and considerate, Healers are good listeners and put people at ease. Although they may be reserved in expressing emotion, they are deeply caring and genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is sensed by others, making Healers valued friends and confidants. They do not like conflict and go to great lengths to avoid it. In conflict situations, they place little importance on who is right and who is wrong. They focus on how the conflict makes people feel, a trait that can make them appear irrational and illogical. In such situations, Healers may benefit from stepping out of the situation temporarily so they can reflect and replenish their reserves.
“Occurring in only about one percent of the population” …. hahaha … I’m unique. Some say I’m a freak. Some say I am an acquired taste. Sometimes I do feel out of place and now I understand why. Love me or hate me … doesn’t matter. What matters is I love myself… the unique one. Dare to be different :)
Had my first Yee Sang with my Fookies today to celebrate CheeryDiva’s birthday. Always so happy in Fookies hangouts I’m so full I can last until 4 am.
Don’t stay up late with me. Good Night! ;)
Lap Chun (立春)
Published by under Tze Ping
It’s that time of the year again. Chinese New Year is nearing. Today (Feb 4th) in particular is what we known as Lap Chun/Li Chun. That means it is the First Day of Spring. Chinese believe that the whole of your year will be quite like whatever you do (or whatever that happens to you) on Lap Chun. Ok. So, this was how my day went….
An SMS woke me up at 10 a.m. in the morning. It was the everyday SMS by XCool to greet me good morning. I felt very energetic and immediately sprung out of the bed for my shower. Called my sister to inform her of Lap Chun and that we should not work so hard today. :P She was just as superstitious as I am and she called it a day at the restaurant. Called my dad to make sure that he banked in my cheque and he did. Yay! (Banking in money on Lap Chun symbolizes that a lot of money will be coming throughout the whole year)
Very quickly, it was lunch time already. I put on my super red t-shirt went to look for XCool, who was also wearing super red t-shirt. I told him to do so because wearing red on Lap Chun is to symbolize prosperity and fortune (plus it is my lucky color). We had McDonald’s. Then, I came home again to rest and watch TV. In the evening, XCool picked me up after work to have dinner in Klang. Food was yummy and surprisingly cheap. After dinner, we zoomed to his house. I watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs while he dozed off. Quite entertaining, I would say. Went back to close my shop.
What I’m trying to say is … I had a very relaxing Lap Chun with money banked in. This year will be like that. Relaxing, but with abundant of money flowing in. ;)
10 more days to Chinese New Year! yay..!!
So Happy
Published by under Tze Ping,XCool
I’m happy in so many levels today (Feb 1st). :D Ahhh… looks like I get to enjoy the perks of “changing” again. I remember the good times I’ve had after making life changing decisions like this.
Anyway, this is how my day was like….
Early in the am after closing my shop, I had a chat with Lowie on msn. We’ve both been so busy (or maybe I have been so busy) that we hardly talk anymore. I feel very happy that she’s so happy and in love! Then I went to bed.
Woke up in the morning with birds chirping on my window. Lazed around watching TV and made some calls to my staff. Soon it was lunch time! I needed to buy some groceries for my shop so I look XCool up and we went to Giant Hypermarket for lunch. Today is a very important day for him. Today is the day he close a chapter and start a new chapter. Today is the day he tender a resignation letter and exit rat race forever. Yay! Three cheers for him. Muaks. You see, about half a year ago, we set a goal and did Law of Attraction on his resignation. We actually said Feb 2010 and look what he did on Feb 1st 2010? Couldn’t be prouder… :D
I had to work full shift today in my shop. XCool was so sweet to accompany me. Today, I managed to hire another supervisor for my shop. That means more automation for my shop and free time for me. Yes!
To top it off, it’s second fookie CheeryDiva‘s birthday! CheeryDiva and I have known each other for almost 18 years now. She’s like a family to me. Happy Birthday again, dear sis. Looking forward to celebrate with you this coming Friday. Here’s to another year of happiness, wealth and wisdom.
Not forgetting….
Thank you, Universe!!!
Haircut
Published by under Tze Ping
As Chinese New Year is coming, I went for a haircut. The unhappy things in the last few days are over. Not that the problem has been solved. I just won’t let it affect me anymore. Instead of changing the person, I decided to change myself. Perhaps a new hairstyle will be in line with this decision to change.
Ta daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :D
This reminds me of my primary school days. My mum always ask the hairdresser to cut my fringe this way. It was embarrassing back then.
This year’s Chinese New Year celebration will be different. For the first time in my whole life, I will be celebrating it in Kuala Lumpur. Well, there are other differences in this year’s celebration but lets not go into that. Okay?
